She stated that it is <br /> part of her job to do back ground investigations when someone applies for a liquor license she <br /> noted the following issues regarding the license applicatian. <br /> The application was submitted by Adriana Horta and an affidavit was filed with the application <br /> stating that her husband cannot have anything to do with the operatian. Ms Rogers nated the <br /> following issues according to the application that was submitted: <br /> • Ms. Horta stated her home address is in l.exington, NE <br /> • The previous application for a liquor license was issued to the L� Davidson Corporation <br /> as the sole owner <br /> • At that time Maria Davidson was working at the Edge <br /> • Question #�6 asks if there is any other person that shares the profits of the business or a <br /> silent partner it stated no <br /> • Question #10 asks the name of the business bank and it is Five Points Bank in the name <br /> of Maria Maria lnc dba as The Edge Maria Davidson is on the account <br /> • Maria Davidson is the president of the corporatian and Ms Horta is the secretary <br /> • The account currently has a balance of$30.47 and there is no recard of business <br /> deposits or rent payments through the account <br /> • Th� checking accounthas the names of Maria Davidson and Adriana Horta on it <br /> • She interviewed Ms. Davidson and she stated that she rented the business and the <br /> furnishings <br /> • She also stated that Ms. Horta runs the day to day business <br /> • The utilities are still in the name of LE Davidson Corp but it is no longer a corporation <br /> • The business plan is to obtain a liquor license <br /> • She noted the I�ase and the amended lease agreement it stated that the rent is <br /> $3,000.00 with a $5,aQ0.00 deposit and they stated th�y paid $2,200.00 with no deposit <br /> � Ms. Harta stated she was unemployed and works for tips <br /> Ms. Rogers stated that she would recommend not approving the license in her opinion after the <br /> investigation this is a false application with a silent partner. She also stated that the sheriff <br /> would abide by her recommendation. <br /> Mr. Ziola questioned th�fact that the ch�cking account daes not show any wages or expenses <br /> paid out of the account. Ms. Rogers said they stated it was paid by tips. <br /> Mr. McFarland questioned who filled out the application and if the attorney who filled out th� <br /> application could be contacted. <br /> Mr Arnold stated that his comments were prior to these findings and he questioned Ms. Rogers <br /> if the application and the discrepancies were cleaned up wauld she recommend denying the <br /> application. <br /> Ms. Rogers stated that Adriana Horta does not meet the qualifications.
