<br />t: 1.9990535 <br /> <br />Landis expressed her concerns on the funding and stated she appreciates the additional <br />time to review the grant application and other documents. Local contractors will use the <br />products that will be manufactured by this company. They will be able to purchase the <br />product locally instead of going out of town. Stew Jobes with the Nebraska Department <br />of Economic Development stated that this is an existing company and the infrastructure <br />will benefit the airport. He stated again that Hall County will not have any liability. <br /> <br />Lancaster made a motion and Logan seconded to close the public hearing. Arnold, <br />Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Hartman made a motion and Lancaster seconded to table items #6 a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, and <br />i. Until the January 11 meeting. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and <br />Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />BUILDING AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: The building and <br />grounds committee received the following two proposals for the replacement of the <br />counter tops for the Register of Deeds, County Clerk and County Assessor's offices. <br />Perrel Cabinets $3,017.00 <br />Lilienthal Cabinets $3,975.00 <br />Logan made a motion and Landis seconded to accept the low bid from Perrel Cabinets for <br />the replacement counter top job. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and <br />Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Dan Hostler returned with the results of the bid opening for the <br />grade-all. He stated that he was informed that the county could possible save $40,000.00 <br />by purchasing this unit at this time but the bids did not reflect this. He recommended to <br />reject the bids at this time. Hartman made a motion and Landis seconded to reject all <br />bids and give Public Works Director Dan Hostler the authority to negotiate with the <br />bidder on the purchase price of the grade-all. He will bring this back to the county board <br />on the January 11,2000 meeting. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis and <br />Logan all voted yes and none voted no with Stelk absent for the vote. <br /> <br />The bids for the railroad crossing projects will be referred to the Nebraska Department of <br />Roads and Dan Hostler will bring this back to the county board on January 11, 2000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ON AGENDA FOR 12/28/99 COUNTY BOARD MEETING: At the <br />November 23 meeting a motion was approved to only audit and approve the monthly <br />claims at the December 28 meeting. Mr. Arnold requested this be addressed again <br />because it may be necessary to address other business. Arnold made a motion and <br />Lancaster seconded to rescind the motion from November 23 to only do the claim audit at <br />the December 28 meeting. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk <br />all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br />
