Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />TAX CORRECTION NOTICES: Stelk made a motion and Hartman seconded <br />to authorize the Chair to initial tax correction notices #2010 to <br />#2043. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and <br />Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />GRAVEL BIDS: Public Works Director Dan Hostler returned with the <br />low bidder on the gravel bids. <br />Project #1 Hooker Brothers $14,517.50 <br />Project #2 Lilley Sand & Gravel $19,747.00 <br />Project #3 Bruner Sand & Gravel $36,663.50 <br />Project #4 Lilley Sand & Gravel $19,448.50 <br />Total $90,376.50 <br />The average price per yard for 1999 is $4.55 and the average for <br />1998 was $4.41 per yard. Hartman made a motion and Stelk <br />seconded to accept the bids and authorize the Chair to sign the <br />contracts. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMENCE AUDIT OF MONTHLY CLAIMS AND ACTION ON CLAIM AUDIT: The <br />board members reviewed the claims and Hartman made a motion and <br />Landis seconded to approve all claims but to hold for <br />clarification claim #990200279. Discussion was held and the <br />corrections department was called for clarification on the claim. <br />Hartman amended his motion and Landis amended her second to <br />approve all claims as audited. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted <br />no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT: Stacy Ruzicka, board assistant included <br />her progress report and included the various meetings in her <br />report. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS: Stelk - She attended the following <br />meetings: corrections negotiations, computer committee, health <br />board meeting, the NACO County Board Workshop, the work study <br />session February 18 and the County Government Day meeting will be <br />March 1. <br /> <br />Hartman - He attended the conditional use committee meeting and <br />the bookmobile meeting. <br /> <br />Logan - He attended the work study session and gave the city a <br />counter offer on the health department proposal at the power <br />district building but he has not heard back from the city. <br />
