F19990074 Hartman questioned if the county would own the ground in the proposal from the City on the power district building. Arnold - He reported that he attended a governmental affairs meeting, attended the Central Nebraska Council on Alcoholism meeting and toured a child advocacy center. A task force is looking at putting a center here. Landis - She attended the following: corrections union negotiations, safety committee meeting, ADA meeting, conditionAL use committee meeting and there will be a Reuse meeting on March 4. The bookmobile committee met and this will be addressed closer to budget time. Lancaster - She attended the CVB board meeting and reported that the lodging tax dollars are up for all of last year. She attended the elected and appointed officials meeting with Benjamin Avila regarding his Excellence in Education program. She also attended the work-study session and the NACO County Board workshop and they reviewed the legislative bills and discussed the Y2K problems. Jeffries - He attended the long-range planning work-study meeting. NEW BUSINESS: Stelk questioned if the letter from Gary Toutman should be addressed. The Economic Development Corporation is to hold a meeting on March 15 and Lancaster will check to see if the County is to also be involved.
