PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS OF <br />HALL COUNTY TO REQUIRE SUBDIVISION APPROVAL FOR LOT LINE <br />ADJUSTMENT INVOLVING PLATTED LOTS: Stelkmade a motion and <br />Lancaster seconded to open the public haring for the lot line <br />adjustments. Arnold, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk <br />all voted yes and none voted no, with Jeffries absent. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Dave Barber with the Regional Planning Commission stated that <br />this matter is a house-keeping amendment to clarify the wording <br />the subdivision regulations. This will adjust the lot lines <br />closer to the buildings. No one requested to speak on this <br />matter. <br /> <br />Stelk made a motion and Landis seconded to close the public <br />hearing. Arnold, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted <br />yes and none voted no with Jeffries absent and Hartman absent for <br />the vote. The resolution will be <br />prepared for approval later. <br /> <br />NED MEIER REPORT ON WATER PROBLEMS: Ned Meier 720 Third Road, <br />Grand Island, reported to the board on some of the meetings he <br />has attended concerning the water in the Platte River. <br />Representatives from Wyoming, Colorado and Nebraska have formed a <br />board of govenors to work on a plan addressing the habitat and <br />water concerns on the Platte River. They are proposing to <br />release an addition 417,000 acre feet of water down the Platte <br />River. This additional water would cover 651 square miles one <br />foot deep. The high water tables in Grand Island limit economic <br />growth in some areas. There will be a meeting at Northwest High <br />School informing people of what is being done. Stelk suggested <br />that a joint work study session could be held with other counties <br />and the state senators to promote public awareness. The board <br />thanked Mr. Meier for his information. <br />
