<br />F 19990002 <br /> <br />Clerk Marla Conley called for nominations for the 1999 County <br />Board vice-chairman. <br /> <br />Stelk nominated Pamela Lancaster. The County Clerk called for <br />any other nominations. <br /> <br />Richard Hartman nominated Lonnie Logan. The County Clerk called <br />for any other nominations. <br /> <br />Hartman made a motion and Stelk seconded to close the <br />nominations. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />The ballots were collected and counted. Pamela Lancaster received <br />three votes and Lonnie Logan received four votes. Lonnie Logan <br />is the 1999 County Board vice-chairman. Landis stated that in <br />the past the vice-chair is usually seated on the left of the <br />County Clerk and asked if Stelk should change seats. Stelk <br />requested to remain where she was. Discussion was held and <br />Chairman Bud Jeffries stated that the board members could stay <br />where they were. <br /> <br />A break was called in order to change the tally board. Returned <br />to session. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY - EXECUTIVE SESSION - DISCUSSION OF STRATEGY WITH <br />RESPECT TO REAL ESTATE PURCHASE AND PROVIDE GUIDANCE TO <br />NEGOTIATIONS: Hartman made a motion and Logan seconded to go into <br />executive session. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />9:25 a.m. executive session <br /> <br />10:05 a.m. Hartman made a motion and Logan seconded to go out of <br />executive session. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Lancaster made a motion and Landis seconded to give direction to <br />Deputy County Jerry Janulewicz to continue negotiations on the <br />building purchase. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />10:05 a.m. PUBLIC HEARING ON HANDI-BUS: Stelk made a motion and <br />Hartman, seconded to open the public hearing for the handi-bus. <br />Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Lois Stienke and Marianne Manning were present for the hearing. <br />Marianne Manning stated that the funds were applied for under the <br />Federal Transit Act capital program section 5311.
