<br />~. <br /> <br /> <br />'F 199900U1 <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING JANUARY 12, 1999 <br /> <br />The Hall county Board of Supervisors met from adjourned session <br />and by published call in the county board meeting room, 121 South <br />Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska January 12, 1999 at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Richard Hartman. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Pastor Holzworth. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Richard Hartman, William <br />Jeffries, Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Lonnie Logan and <br />Tammie Stelk. Also present were Deputy County Attorney Jerry <br />Janulewicz and news media representatives from the Grand Island <br />Independent and KRGI. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE DECEMBER 22 MEETING: Landis made a motion and <br />Stelk seconded to accept and place on file the minutes of the <br />December 22 meeting. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: County Clerk Marla Conley called for <br />nominations for the 1999 County Board Chair. <br /> <br />Lonnie Logan nominated Richard Hartman. Richard Hartman stated <br />he had to decline the nomination. County Clerk called for any <br />other nominations. <br /> <br />Tammie Stelk nominated Pamela Lancaster. The County Clerk called <br />for any other nominations. <br /> <br />Richard Hartman nominated Bud Jeffries. The County Clerk called <br />for any other nominations. Hartman made a motion and Stelk <br />seconded to close the nominations. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted <br />no. Motiffllcarried., <br /> <br />The ballots were collected and board assistant Carol Spiehs and <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz counted the ballots. Bud <br />Jeffries received five votes and Pamela Lancaster received two <br />votes. Bud Jeffries is the 1999 County Board chairman. Richard <br />Hartman congratulated Mr. Jeffries and presented him with the <br />gavel. Mr. Jeffries presented Mr. Hartman with a plaque of <br />appreciation for his service as the 1998 County Board chair for <br />1998. <br /> <br />CALL FOR NOMI~IONS FOR 1999 COUNTY BOARD VICE-CHAIR: County <br />
