DISCUSSION AND APPROVAL OF SUPERVISOR COUNTY E-MAIL ACCESS AND
TECHNOLOGY UPGRADES TO BOARD ROOM — Mr. Ziola stated that this was discussed at
the computer cammittee meeting. The county web page has the personal E mail addresss for
the county supervisors and he would like the supervisors hav a county Email address by name
or by district. H expressed concern that if a personal E mail address is used and you would
leave office you may receive information that you should not receive. He just brought this up for
discussion it may make it easier to communicate.
McFarland noted yau would have to make sure and check the county e mail address if yau have
two addresses.
Stacey Ruzicka stated that Mr. Quandt does not have mail. Thy would have to make sure
they checked the account. She also asked if they would want all of the informatian snt to them
by E mail.
Doug Drudik was present and stated you could set it up by district instead of name so a new
member would still receive the information.
Mr. Arnold stated it is important to have a consistent mail address and h would like to see a
name attached to the address to make it more personal.
Mr. Ziola stated it would also be nice to have the county board members have an upgrade to an
iPod that they could use or have the packets sent to them this way. Mr. Drudik stated that an
iPod with wifi as the access point for 7 unites it would b $4,271.96 or wifi plus cellular for 7
unites would be $5,156.13 plus $3,780.00 for service for 7 units. Mr. Drudik stated the iPods
are more portable but the applications are what make them more useful.
Ms. Lancaster expressed cancern on the Wi-Fi and if they decide to do it they need to da it right
and make sure that they are connected.
Mr. McFarland stated the E mail addresses need to b consistent some people may not knaw
what district they are in but would know the name.
Mr. Arnold stated he daes nat want to have twa different units and they may want a bigger
screen like a tablt but they just need to be consistent. Discussion was held on cost sharing.
Arnold made a motian and Ziola seconded to instruct Mr. Drudik to create E mail accounts for
the county supervisors and set up forwarding to the supervisors preferred accounts.
