Mr. McFarland noted that the vandalism and the littering is a probiem and he talked to 5heriff <br /> Watson and the 22 or 23 calis are not that many in a 5-year period. He walks Gunbarrel Road <br /> and there is also littering he realizes the concerns of Crane Trust but he thinks it should remain <br /> as it is. <br /> Ms. l.ancaster stated that her area is not bothered by littering but the gate is lacked. <br /> Mr. John Amick stated he appreciates the comments and Mrs. Lancaster views it differently <br /> because she has land and has a locked gate. They are just requesting to lock their property <br /> and they offered a solution that wili be no cost to the county. He thanked the board but if there <br /> continues to be problems they may be back. He also agrees the right of way should be owned <br /> by the county. <br /> Mr. Quandt ask�d if there is a fence, and there is, but they have knocked down the gat� in the <br /> past. <br /> Chairman Lancaster called for other camments and no one responded. <br /> The vote on the motion was taken. Arnold, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all <br /> voted yes and Lancaster voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 4. COUNTY ATTORN�Y— DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON TRANSFERRING <br /> THE ZBI, INC. SETTLEM�NT PROCE�DS T� THE COUNTY ROAD FUND - Deputy County <br /> Attorney Jack Zitterkopf stated that on� of his staff recently found Nebraska State Statute 23- <br /> 124 regarding damage ta a bridg� ar public building that stated the county can sue to recaver <br /> damages and the funds shall be paid to the Treasurer and credited to the fund where the repairs <br /> were paid from. So the dollars from ZBI can go back to the road fund. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Ziala seconded to transfer the proceeds from ZBI to the road fund. <br /> Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none <br /> voted na. Motion carried. <br /> Discussion was held on the vehicl�s that were damaged in the parking lot. Mr. Zitterkopf stated <br /> that the County did nat sue the individual but th� court entered an arder of restitution and the <br /> court order will allocate where the dollars go. If it is not paid the County Attorney can file <br /> contempt proceedings to collect the maney. <br /> 12. DISCUSSION AND APPROVAL OF REPLACEM�NT SPILLMAN SERVERS �- Mr. Ziola <br /> stated the dollars for the servers were set aside and this quote will replace the Spillman serv�rs <br /> that we have in place naw. This is the same vendar that installed the original servers. The cost <br /> of the hardware has gone down and now they are able to buy twa servers for the quoted price of <br /> $�6,OOQ.00. There are funds in the equipment reserve fund for the purchase. <br /> Arnold state that this is on a 4-year replacement schedule and th�y have set aside $15,000.00 a <br /> year for the replacement but Mr. Drudik stated they may be able lawer it to $12,500.00 in the <br /> future. They did not receive a bid from the bid opening so they negotiated this quote far the <br /> replacem�nt server and the backup server. <br /> 7 <br />
