Also on behalf af the Crane Trust <br /> they have maintained the land for 20 plus years and it is critical that the birds be able to use this <br /> land. The caunty can keep the right of way. <br /> Mr. Schuppan stated he understand the Crane Trust has been there but the caunty has been <br /> there longer it is important to protect the birds but he cannot acc�pt closing a road that could <br /> affect something in the future. <br /> Mr. Adam noted the Fish and Wildlife brought up the endangered species act and the whoaping <br /> cranes are an endangered species. <br /> Lancaster stated she has been out there and supports closing the road there is no purpose for <br /> anyone ta go down there road there scenic aspects in other places in the county. But the <br /> county needs to maintain the right of way. <br /> Mr. Arnald stated that he relies on the rural representative for input but has a concern on closing <br /> the road if that were done the federal government may change their rules and the county might <br /> not be able to open it again.
