COUNTY ATT�RNEY-- HALL COUNTY JUVENILE DIVER510N 3 YEAR PLAN — Deputy <br /> County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf stated #hat there needs to be some action to get this signed. <br /> Mr. Young could not be here and he did not brief Jack about this plan. The new Juvenile <br /> Diversion Director is Kelli Schadwinkel, this is Kelli's second day and Robyn Hassel could not <br /> be here today. <br /> Clay Schutz Chief probation officer stated that the Crime Cammission is the vehicle at the state I <br /> that allots the grant money and by state statute every county is to have on file a 3-year � <br /> comprehensive juvenile service plan. This plan needs to be signed and sent to the crime <br /> commission by June 6. The plan was due January 15t but they were able to get an extension. <br /> He expressed concern that Hall County has missed out on a lot of funding so it is impartant to <br /> have this on file. <br /> Lancaster quested what funding that was not rec�ived and Mr. Schutz stated that the tracker <br /> services was nat funded and we need to apply for the grants. He stated that the key change is <br /> the process they used and how the community has come together with a collaborative effort <br /> from Hall County to represent the true needs. <br /> Jon Kuzman with Kuzman Consulting stated that the community team braught all of the groups <br /> together and made it a county wide plan, they had 25 to 30 people per meeting and <br /> incorporated all of the other groups in the current plan. This plan has included the entire <br /> community. <br /> Quandt made motion and Arnold seconded to adopt the 3 year plan and authorize the Chair to <br /> sign. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Arnold was absent. Motion carried <br /> 9. DISCUSS AND APPROVE TIMELINE FOR ELIMINATION OF WE�D BOARD & <br /> COMBINING REGISTER O� DEEDS & ASSESSORS OFFICES —Jack Zitterkopf prepared a <br /> time line for the public hearing for the register of deeds and the public hearing far the weed <br /> board. The weed board does not require a public hearing by state statute but the board has <br /> proposed to hald one. They have until September 4th to get it on the ballot for the November <br /> election. <br /> The elimination af the weed board could be a resolution from the county board to take over the <br /> functions. Schuppan questioned how this wauld affect the terms of the current wee baard <br /> members and Mr. Zitterkapf stated that the statutes regarding this are not as detailed so they <br /> could wait until the first of the year to take over the functions. Lancaster stated that it would be <br /> more orderly to wait until the first of the year. <br /> Quandt stated he attended the weed board meeting and there are 3 members up for election <br /> and he would encourage them to run in the event that the public wants to keep the weed baard <br /> intact. <br /> Mitchell Clark Register of Deeds state that after reading the paper about merging the deeds and <br /> 3 <br />
