201007863 <br />Covered multifamily dwellings must have at least one building entrance on an <br />accessible route, unless it is impractical ta do so because of terrain ar unusual <br />characteristics of thc site. For all such dwellings with a building entrance on <br />an accessible r�ute the following six requirements apply: <br />Accessibde and Usable Public and Common Use Areas: <br />Public and common use azcas must be readily accessible to and usable by <br />people with disabilities. <br />Usable Doors: <br />All doors designed ta allow passage into and within all premises must be <br />sufficiently wide to allvw pa,ssage by persons in wheelchairs. <br />Accessible Route Into and Through the Covered Dwelding Units: <br />There must bc an accessible route into ar►d through the dwelling units, <br />providing access for people with disabilities throughout the unit. <br />Lrght Switches, Electrical Outlets, Thermostats and Qther Environmental <br />Controls in Accessible Locations: <br />All premises within the dwelling uni.ts must cantain light switches, electrical <br />outlets, thermnstats and other environmental controls in accessible locations, <br />Reinforced Walls far Grab Bars: <br />All premises within dwelling units must contain reinforcements in bathroom <br />walls to allow later installation of grab bars around toilet, tub, shower stall and <br />shower seat, where such facilities are provided. <br />UsabCe Kitchens and Bathrooms; <br />Dwelling; units must contain usable kitchens and bathtooms such that an <br />individual who uses a wheelchair can cnaneuvcr about the space. <br />These Fair Housing Act requirements can be faund in the Fair Housing Act <br />Design Manual. <br />B) The Flans and Specifications are in compliance with Standards so that units in the <br />project meet Energy Staz Standards a�nd fully accessible and sensorry units <br />meet 5ection 504 accessibility Standards. <br />C) The Plans and Specifications do not r�quire the installation or use of any asbestos <br />containing materials in connection with th� consttvction or use of the Prvject. <br />4g48-2332-1094.2 C-4, <br />
