80-..3 ~~~'~ <br />ORDINANCE N0. 6526 <br />An ordinance to extend the boundaries and include within the corporate limits <br />of, and to annex to the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, certain contiguous and adjacent <br />tracts of land and streets and highways fn part of the Southeast Quarter (SE}) of <br />Section Twenty-eight (28), Township Eleven (11) North, Range Nine (9) West of the 6th <br />P.M., Nall County, Nebraska; to provide for service benefits thereto; to provide <br />aeverability; and to confirm the zoning classification thereof. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COi1NCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRAS'dA: <br />-~ SECTION 1. It is hereby found and determined by such City Council chat: <br />(a) The tract of land and streets and highways in part o: the <br />Southeast Quarter (SEA) of Section 28, Township 11 North, Range 9 West <br />of the 6th P.M-, Flail County, Nebraska, as hereinafter more particularly <br />described; are urban and suburban in character and contiguous and adjacent <br />to the corporate limits of such City and as urban and suburban in character <br />are not agricultural land rural in character; <br />(b) Police, fire, and snow removal benefits are available thereto, <br />and sanitary sewer and public water service will be available as provided i c <br />by law; . <br />(c) The zoning classification of such tract of land as shown on the <br />official zoning map of the City of Grand TsLand, Nebraska, is hereby <br />confirmed; <br />(d) There is a unity of interest in the use of such trace of land <br />and highways with the use of lots, lands, streets, and highways in the City, <br />and the community convenience and welfare and the interest of such Clty <br />will be enhanced through incorporating such lands and streets and high- <br />, ways within the corporate limits of such City, <br />SECTION 2. That the boundaries of the City of Crand Island, [tebraska, bey, and <br />hereby are, extended to 2nclude within the corporate limits of such City the contiguous <br />and adjacent tract of land and streets and highways in part of the Southeast Quarter <br />. (SEA) of Section 7.8, Township 11 North, Range 9 West of the 6th P.M., ball County, <br />Nebraska, more particularly described as follows: <br />Beginning at a point on the West line of said Southeast Quarter (SEA) <br />of Section Twenty-eight (28) and seventy-two and Your-tenths (72.4) <br />feet North of the South line o,t said Southeast Quarter (SEi) of Section <br />Twenty-eight (28), said point also being on the North right-of-way line <br />of U.S. Highway No. 34; thence North on the West line of said Scuehease <br />Quarter (5E :} to the South line of the Replat of Riverside Acres; thence <br />deflecting right seventy-three degrees forty-two minutes (730 42') and <br />running northeasterly along the southerly line of the Replat oz River- <br />side Acres, a distance of eight hundred (800) feet; thence defier ing <br />, N 8 13~~ j <br />- ,. . -. .. .... - - LEGAL DEPAR fM_ <br />
