Nebraska, certain contiguous and adjacent tracts of <br /> <br /> <br />land and streets and highways in the East Half of the Northwest Quarter (E%~) of Section <br /> <br /> <br />Ten.(lO), Township Eleven (11) North, Range Nine (9) West of the 6th P.M., in Hall County, <br /> <br /> <br />Nebraska, to provide for service benefits thereto; to provide severability, and to confirm <br /> <br /> <br />the zoning classification thereof. <br /> <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA: <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 1. It is hereby found and determined by such City Council that: <br /> <br /> <br />(a) The tract of land and streets and Highways in the East Half of the <br /> <br /> <br />Northwest Qusrter (E%~) of Section Ten (10), Township Eleven (11) <br /> <br /> <br />North, Range Nine (9) West of the 6th P.M.. Hall County. Nebraska. as <br /> <br /> <br />hereinafter more particularly described. are urban and suburban in <br /> <br />I .... <br /> Z <br />...., ... <br />co ::!! <br /> :l2 .... <br /> oe <br />r <- ~ <br /><.;, Cl <br />i....J .... <br />'-'> ~ <br /> ~ <br /> <br />character and contiguous and adjacent to the corporate limits of such <br /> <br /> <br />City, and as urban and suburban in character are not agricultural land <br /> <br /> <br />rural in character; <br /> <br />(0) Police, fire, and snow removal benefits are available thereto, and ~anitary <br /> <br />sewer and pubUc water service will be available as provided by law: <br /> <br /> <br />(c) The zoning Llassification of such tract of land as shown on the official <br /> <br /> <br />zoning map of the City of Grand Island. Nebraska. is hereby confirmed. <br /> <br /> <br />(d) There is a unity of interest in the use of such tract of land and highways <br /> <br />with the uSe of lots. land&, streets, and highways in the City~ and the <br /> <br />community convenience and welfare and the interest of such City will be <br /> <br />enhanced through incorporating such lands and streets and highways within <br /> <br />the corporate limits of such City. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That the boundaries of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska. be, and hereby <br /> <br />are, extended to include within the corporate limits of such City the contiguous and <br /> <br />adjacent tract of land and streets and highways in the East Half of the Northwest Quarter <br /> <br />(~) of Section Ten (10), Township Eleven (11) North. Range Nine (9) West of the 6th <br /> <br />P.M., in Hall County, Nebraska. more particularly described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the junction of the East right-of-way line of St. Paul <br />Road and the South right-of-way line of the Capital Avenue outfall <br />ditch, thence proceeding East along the South line of said outfall <br />ditch for a distance of 1,686.13 feet, thence deflecting left in a <br />northerly direction along the West right-of-way line of the U.P.R.R. <br />Ord Branch for a distance of 615.49 feet. thence deflectin~ left in a <br />westerly direction along the North right-of-way line of Capital Avenue. <br />thence deflecting left in a southerly direction along the West line of <br />Lot-_Z, Las-sonde_Subdivision~ and an extension of this line for a distance <br />of 529.5 feet, thence deflecting right in a westerly direction alonl'l the <br />Horth line of the Capital Avenue outfall ditch for a distance of 1.284.1 <br />faet. thenee deflecting left in a southerly direction along the East <br />l~ of St. Paul Road for a distance of 85 feet to the point of beginning. <br />all as shown on the plat marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated <br />~re1n by reference. <br />
