<br />SEl', :II D I". <br /> <br />RBSOLUTION <br /> <br />88-105237 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Water Main District No. 384 was created by Ordinance 1 <br />No. 7484 on Au~st 15, 1988, and <br />WHEREAS, notice of the creation of such water main di~trict <br />was published in the Grand Island Daily In,' _"endent on AUq\lst 23, <br />AUq\lst 30, and September 6r 1988, in accordance with the provisions <br />of section 16-667.01, R.R.S. 1943, and <br />WHBRBAS, Section 16-667.01, R.R.S. 1943, provides that if the <br />owners of record title representing more than 50\ of the front <br />footage of the property abutting upon the streets, avenues, or <br />alleys, or parts thereof which are within such proposed district <br /> <br />shall file with the city clerk within thirty days from the first <br /> <br />publication of said notice written objections to the water main <br /> <br /> <br />districts, said work shall not be done B~n the ordinance shall be <br /> <br />repealed, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, valid signatures representing 56.2\ of the total <br /> <br />front footage of District No. 384 have been filed with the City <br /> <br />Clerk against the creation of such district, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that, valid signatures representing <br /> <br />56.2\ of the total district front footage having been filed with <br /> <br /> <br />the City Clerk against the creation of Water Main District No. 384, <br /> <br />such district shall be not be continued and constructed and <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 7484 shall be repealed. <br /> <br />Moved by councilman <br />Seconded by Councilman <br /> <br />O'Neill <br /> <br />Collins <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote: "Yes": Feaster.
