20040445. <br />8. Livestock and Poultry. No animals, livestock, or poultry <br />of any kind, including fowl, rabbits, or pet pigs, shall be raised, <br />bred or kept on any lot, except that dogs, cats or other household <br />pets may be kept, provided they are not kept, bred or maintained <br />for any commercial purpose. <br />9. Garbage, Refuse Disposal and Vegetation No lot shall be <br />used or maintained as a dumping ground for rubbish. Trash, garbage <br />or other waste shall not be kept except in sanitary containers. <br />All equipment for the storage or disposal of such materials shall <br />be kept in a clean and sanitary condition. <br />The owner of each lot shall keep the vegetation and grasses <br />thereon cut to a height less than eight inches (811). Lot owners <br />desiring garden plots shall not cover or brace plants with plastic <br />jugs, cans, plastic bags or other unsightly materials. At the end <br />of the growing season, garden plots are to be cleared of all <br />decaying foliage and all garden equipment is to be stored out of <br />sight. <br />10. Sewage Disposal. No individual sewage- disposal system <br />shall be permitted on any lot unless such system is specifically <br />approved by the governing body of the City of Grand Island, <br />Nebraska. <br />11. Site Distance at Intersections No fence, wall, hedge or <br />shrub planting which obstructs site lines at elevations between two <br />(2) and six (6) feet above the roadway shall be placed or permitted <br />to remain on any corner lot within the triangular area formed by <br />the street property lines and a line connecting them at points 25, <br />from the intersection of the street lines, or in the case of a <br />rounded property corner from the intersection of the street <br />property lines extended. The same site -line limitations shall <br />apply on any lot within 10, from the intersection of a street <br />property line with the edge of a driveway or alley pavement. No <br />trees shall be permitted to remain within such distances of such <br />intersections unless the foliage line is maintained at sufficient <br />height to prevent obstruction of such site lines. <br />12. Vehicles. No campers, trailers, motor or mobile homes, <br />boats or recreational vehicles shall be stored on any lot, driveway <br />or on the street in front of or on the side of any lot. <br />13. Term. These Covenants are to run with the land and shall <br />be binding on all parties and all persons claiming under them for <br />a period of 30 years from the date these Covenants are recorded, <br />before which time said Covenants may be extended for successive <br />periods of 10 years as provided by law, unless an instrument is <br />signed by a majority of the then owners of the lots has been <br />recorded, agreeing to change said Covenants in whole or in part. <br />-3- <br />
