Mesner Mesner Attorneys ventral City Nebraska 202304643 DURABLE POWER OF ATTORNEY I, Kathryn L. Ferris, of Merrick County, Nebraska, hereby appoint George H. Ferris, my spouse, my true and lawful Attorney for me and in my name, or in the event of the resignation or inability of my spouse to so act, I appoint my daughters Barbara J. Anderson and Janet Ferris, or either of them, to do and execute all or any of the following acts, deeds and things: 1. To demand, sue for, collect, receive and give discharges for all monies, debts, interest, dividends, securities, shares of stock and other personal property which now belongs or shall hereafter belong to me. 2. To commence, prosecute, defend all actions and proceedings touching my estate or any part thereof. 3. To settle, compromise or submit to arbitration all claims, demands, accounts, disputes or differences between me or any other person. 4. To sell all or any bonds, shares of stock, or other securities belonging to me and to execute all deeds or other instruments necessary to properly transfer the same to any purchaser or purchasers thereof, and to give good receipt to discharge for all purchase monies payable in respect thereof. 5. To invest the proceeds of any sale or sales aforesaid and any other of my monies in such bonds or shares of stock and other securities as my Attorney in her absolute discretion shall think best, hence, from time to time to vary the said investments or any of them, and in the meantime and pending any such investment as aforesaid, to deposit the said monies in any bank or banks to which my Attorney shall think fit to entrust them. 6. Out of the monies coming into her hands to pay any expenses in respect to any part of my estate as my Attorney shall think fit. 7. To enter into and upon my real estate and to let, manage and improve the same and repair, improve, alter or reconstruct and to insure the buildings or structures thereon, and further to contract with others for the management of such real estate. 8. To sell either at public or private sale or to exchange any part or parts of my real estate or personal property for such consideration, upon such terms as my Attorney shall think fit, and to execute and deliver good and sufficient deeds, bills of sale or other instruments for the conveyance or transfer of the same with such covenants or warranty or otherwise as my Attorney shall see fit.
