202103518 <br />Section 17 — Lawsuits and Claims <br />My Attorney -in -Fact may initiate, defend and settle claims and lawsuits, including tax cases, prior <br />to suit being filed or after litigation has commenced, including arbitration or other alternative <br />dispute resolution proceedings; and to give releases from liability. <br />Section 18 — Fiduciaries and Nomination of Guardian <br />My Attorney -in -Fact has priority to be appointed my guardian or conservator; to exercise any right <br />I have to designate initial, successor or substitute guardians, conservators, trustees and custodians; <br />to remove a trustee or custodian; and to amend the administrative provisions of any trust or <br />custodial agreement that I may amend. Lone Pine Ave. 816 Cave Creek <br />Springfield, MO 65802 Norman, OK 73071 <br />417-862-2647 405-366-8724 <br />Section 19 — Taxes <br />My Attorney -in -Fact may file any tax rendition, return, protest or claim for refund; to handle any <br />notice of tax deficiency or audit and to agree to settlement; to make any election on my behalf in <br />connection with any tax matter; to receive confidential information from any taxing authority; to <br />deal with tax authorities to execute and sign on my behalf any and all Federal, state, local and <br />foreign income and gift tax returns; and to represent me before the Internal Revenue Service; and <br />to sign an Internal Revenue Service Form 2848 (Power of Attorney or Declaration of <br />Representative) or Form 8821 (Tax Information Authorization), or comparable authorization, <br />appointing a qualified lawyer, certified public accountant or enrolled agent (including my <br />Attorney -in -Fact, if so qualified) to represent me before any office of the Internal Revenue Service. <br />Section 20 — Government Agencies and Benefits <br />My Attorney -in -Fact has the unrestricted power to deal with and obtain maximum entitlements <br />and benefits relating to the Social Security Administration, Veterans Administration, Social <br />Services Departments, Social Security Disability Insurance, Supplemental Security Income, <br />Medicaid (MO HealthNet), Medicare, Worker's Compensation and all other government benefits <br />or entitlement programs, including claims, planning for eligibility, and submission of applications <br />and appeals. In this regard, my Attorney -in -Fact is authorized to execute and deliver any power <br />of attorney or authorization to act form requested or required by a governmental agency. This <br />power shall impose no affirmative duty on my Attorney -in -Fact to provide information and/or <br />documentation to any government agency. <br />Section 21 — Estate and Long Term Care Planning <br />My Attorney -in -Fact may engage in estate and long term care planning in furtherance of achieving <br />asset preservation. Property transfers made pursuant to the authority granted herein may be made <br />without restriction as to the value of the transfer, and shall, for all purposes, be deemed to have <br />been "in my best interest" if: (1) made in accordance with the provisions of this section; and (2) <br />Durable Power of Attorney <br />HAZEL MARGENE STUEVEN Page 8 of 14 <br />
