• <br />2020J5767 <br />13. Acquire Information. To receive from any person or organization any information <br />relating to my affairs or my property. 1 hereby authorize and direct such person or <br />organization to release such information to my attorney in fact as if I had personally <br />requested the same. <br />14. Open Safe Deposit Box. To open and add to or remove any contents of any safe deposit <br />box controlled by me. <br />15. Authority to Make Gifts. To make gifts of property whether such property is real, <br />personal, or mixed, to any person or charity, including my named attorney in fact, in such <br />amounts and at such times, as my attorney in fact shall deem proper. If I have made gifts <br />in the past to my spouse, children, and grandchildren, I want to have my attorney in fact <br />continue such gift -giving program. I also want my attorney in fact in his/her absolute <br />discretion to make such gifts as may be appropriate to effectuate any estate plan that <br />would be necessary to allow my beneficiaries to take advantage of the benefits of any tax <br />or other laws that may be in effect. I understand and acknowledge that some of these <br />gifts may be made to my attorney in fact and I specifically authorize such gifts to be <br />made. <br />16. Authority to Create Trusts. To create revocable or irrevocable trusts of property of my <br />estate for me as grantor as my attorney in fact shall deem proper. These trusts may be <br />created for such terms as may extend beyond any periods of disability or incapacity or <br />may extend beyond the period of my lifetime. My attorney in fact is authorized to <br />convey and transfer any and all property into said trusts as my attorney in fact may deem <br />proper. <br />17. Selection of Assets for Distribution. In the event it is necessary for my attorney in fact to <br />liquidate, sell, redeem, or otherwise dispose of any of my assets for the purpose of <br />acquiring cash for the payment of my debts and expenses; then I direct that my attorney <br />in fact first dispose of my joint tenancy assets (except my house if either my spouse or I <br />are living in it), then my solely owned property, then my life insurance policies that have <br />any cash values, and finally any retirement or deferred compensation accounts that I may <br />have. <br />18. Do All Other Thins. I direct that my said attorney in fact shall be responsible to do all <br />other acts, deeds, matters and things whatsoever in or about my estate, property, and <br />affairs, and to concur with persons jointly interested with myself therein in doing all acts, <br />deeds, matters, and things herein, either particularly or generally described, as fully and <br />effectual to all intents and purposes as I could do in my own proper person if personally <br />present, it being my intent to grant to my said attorney in fact a general power to act for <br />me and in my behalf, and not a limited or special power, limited to the specific acts <br />herein described. <br />19. Nomination to Serve as Guardian and/or Conservator. Should it become necessary for <br />the appointment of a guardian/custodian and/or conservator for me and/or my property, I <br />hereby nominate my attorney in fact or such other named alternate who may then be <br />serving as my attorney in fact to be such guardian/custodian and/or conservator. <br />
