200106226 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 8681 (Cont.) <br />such property for sewer, electric, storm drainage, gas, and other public utilities and all rights and <br />appurtenances thereto: <br />That portion of Closed Lester Street lying adjacent to the south line of Lots One <br />(1) and Two (2), and lying adjacent to the north line of the easterly Two Hundred <br />Twelve and Four Tenths (212.4) feet of Lot Thirteen (13) and the north line of Lot <br />Fourteen (14), all in Bachman and Lester Subdivision, in the City of Grand Island, <br />Hall County, Nebraska. <br />SECTION 2. That the conveyance of the above - described property to Wilson <br />Concrete Company, an Iowa corporation, is hereby authorized and approved. The consideration <br />for such conveyance shall be One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00). Conveyance shall be by Quit <br />Claim Deed upon payment of the foregoing consideration subject to easements and <br />encumbrances of record. <br />SECTION 3. As provided by law, notice of such conveyance and the terms <br />thereof shall be published for three consecutive weeks in the Grand Island Independent, a <br />newspaper published for general circulation in the City of Grand Island. Immediately after the <br />passage and publication of this ordinance, the City Clerk is directed and instructed to prepare and <br />publish such notice. <br />SECTION 4. Authority is hereby granted to the electors of the City of Grand <br />Island to file a remonstrance against the conveyance of such within described real estate; and if a <br />remonstrance against such conveyance signed by registered voters of the City of Grand Island <br />equal in number to thirty percent of the register voters of the City of Grand Island voting at the <br />last regular municipal election held in such City be filed with the City Council within thirty days <br />of passage and publication of such ordinance, said property shall not then, nor within one year <br />thereafter, be conveyed. <br />Approved as to Form ♦ C9Ior <br />- 2 - June 22, 2001 ♦City ttorney <br />
