Borrower shall r�ot do, nor a�low anyone else <br /> to do, anything affecting the Property �a} that is in �io�ation of any En�ironmental Law, (b} which crea�es an <br /> En�ironmen�al ��ndition, or �c} which, due to the presence, use, or re�ease of a Hazardous 5ubstance, creates a <br /> condition that ad�ersely affects the �alue af�he Property. T�ie preceding two sentences shall not apply to the <br /> presence, use, or storage on the Proper�y af small Quantities af Hazardous 5ubstances that are generaily r�cognized <br /> to be apprapriate to normal residential uses and to maintenance of the Praperty �including, but not limited to, <br /> hazardaus substances in consumer products}. <br /> Borrower shal� promptly gi�e Lender written notice of�a� any inWestigation, ciaim, demand, lawsuit or other <br /> action by any gn�ernmental or regu�atory agency�r private party�n��ol�ing the Property and any Hazardaus Substance <br /> or En�ironmental Law af which Barrower has actua�knflwl�dge, ��}any En�ironmenta��ondition, including but not <br /> 1�mited to, any spillin�, leaking, discharg�, release or +hr�at of relea.s�of any Hazardous 5ubstance, and �c} any <br /> candition caused�y the presence, use or release of a I�aLardous 5ubstance which ad�ersely affects the�a1ue of�he <br /> Property. If Borrower l�arns, or is notif ed by any governmental ar regu�atory authority, or any pri�ate party, that <br /> any remo�al or other remediation of any Hazardous Substan�e affecting the Prop�rty is necessary, Borrow�r shal� <br /> promptly take al�necessary remedial actions in a�cordance with En�ironmental Law.
