<br />93-F-;(~fI <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, SEPTEMBER 21, 1993 <br /> <br />-1!l <br /> <br />~ <br />y <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned <br />session and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard <br />Hartman, Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of September 14th meeting were accepted as received by motion <br />of Stelk, seconded by Frauen. All voted yes. <br /> <br />Leslie was excused from meeting. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney, Jerry Janulewicz was present and referred to <br />a letter date September 17th concerning books in the law library. <br />Stuhr Museum, Central Community College and the Law Enforcement Training <br />Center are being considered as places for loan or storage for excess <br />books in the law library, if they can use them and make them available <br />to county residents. <br />Janulewicz also discussed the agreement between the county and the <br />School District 82 for the performance of the duties of county <br />superintendent. He also discussed the application for Keno satellite <br />locations. Rick Mason, manager of Super Bowl was present and gave his <br />views and concerns about the two satellite locations. This is to be <br />an agenda item for September 28th. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney, Mark Young, brought an update on workings of <br />the agreement with Mary Lanning Hospital, Region III and the county. <br /> <br />9:50 A.M. - commence audit of county claims. Frauen and Hartman left <br />to look at a ditch on Harold Albee land on Primrose Drive. The ditch <br />had water in it during the recent flood problems. He was told that he <br />could fill the ditch with dirt, but if a problem arose it would have to <br />be taken out. Frauen and Hartman returned and viewed claims until 11:50 <br />A.M. at which>time the Chairman recessed until 1:30 P.M. <br /> <br />1:30 P.M. reconvened with Leslie returning to session. <br /> <br />Abernethy made motion to approve claims, seconded by Frauen to pay <br />claims with the exception of the following ones- Brownell, Lauristan <br />to be sent back for cases and dates, the YMCA claim to be sent back for <br />signature from the Y. Claims for witness fees submitted by the County <br />Court to be approved for this month and will be re-evaluated next month. <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, Leslie <br />did not vote. <br /> <br />Dan Hostler, Public Works Director, presented the annual highway report, <br />July 1, 1992 thru June 30, 1993. Frauen made motion to accept the report <br />and place on file. Hartman seconded the motion. All voted yes. <br /> <br />Motion made by Frauen to approve and authorize the closing of l-R <br />road for a bike-a-thon October 9th, 11 A.M. to 4 P.M. Motion seconded <br />by Leslie. All voted yes. Hostler is to inform people concerning <br />the barricades etc. <br /> <br />Authorized Hostler to accept bids for re-roofing of County Buildings <br />damaged by storms and to get this work done as soon as possible. This <br />authorization coming from a motion made by Frauen and seconded by Landis. <br />All voting yes. <br /> <br />Motion made by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to go into Board of <br />Equalization at 1:59 P.M. All voted yes. <br /> <br />2:36 P.M. motion made by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to return to <br />regular session. All voted yes. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Frauen, seconded by Landis to accept $499.99 for <br />the resale amount to Automated Systems Inc. for motor vehicles <br />computer equipment and tapes which are no longer being used. Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Landis and Leslie voted yes, Hartman, Quandt and Stelk voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br />
