<br />.,95~-/~~ <br /> <br />-:t- <br /> <br />N <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING MAY 16, 1995 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met May 16, at 9:00 A.M. <br />from adjourned session and by published call with Chairman Irene <br />Abernethy presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, Margaret <br />Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt, Judy Rosenkotter and Tammie Stelk. <br /> <br />The invocation was given Rev. Fred Gardner from United Congregatonal <br />Church. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />The minutes of the May 9 meeting were received. 'Quahdtmade motion <br />and Ste1k seconded to accept and place on file. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz will attend a committee <br />meeting with Izola Sargent, Rosenkotter and Stelk concerning the <br />sub-contract with Senior Citizens on the Handi-bus. <br /> <br />The addendum to the law enforcement agreement with the Village of <br />Doniphan was presented. The Village of Doniphan requested that <br />a curfew ordinance be enforced in the village. With this addemdum <br />it would allow the County Sheriff to issue a citation to the parents <br />of minor children if the child is found in violation of the curfew. <br />Donald Walters, Doniphan Village attorney, explained the problem <br />in the Village of Doniphan. The village board feels that after a <br />few citations this may eliminate the problem. This is an immediate <br />problem that needs to be addressed. Hartman made motion andStelk <br />s~conded to~extend the contract for one year. Discussion was held <br />if this would increase the Sheriff budget. Hartman withdrew motion <br />and Stelk withdrew second~ Rosenkotter made motion and Leslie <br />seconded to add addendum to the contract and authorize the Chair <br />to sign. Abernethy, Hartman,' Leslie and Stelk voted yes. Landis <br />abstained and Quandt voted no. <br /> <br />The contract for the vending machines with Ted Hunt B&T Vending <br />was presented. Bill Wilder and Don Keenan from Coco~Cola were <br />present to discuss the machines that they have. Valley Vending <br />representative was also there. These two firms are local companies <br />and they provide good service. Ted Hunt from B&T Vending stated <br />that one vendor would be to our advantage and he gives a larger <br />commission. Gary Quandt and Ellen Merrill are to collect data <br />and this will be on the agenda next week. <br /> <br />Quandt made motion and Rosenkotter seconded to go into Board of <br />Corrections. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Hartman was absent.e <br /> <br />Marvin Webb, with Webb and Company,presented the ADA plans for the <br />elevator and_the:restrooms in the Courthouse. He explaned the <br />necessary changes that needed to be made in order to comply with the <br />ADA requirements. These are the preliminary specificiations for the <br />invitation to bidders. The bid opening is set for June 6, 10:00 A.M. <br />Rosenkotter made motion and Stelk seconded to approve the specs for <br />the bid letting and accept alternate bids. / Abernethy ,!Landis,,~_:', <br />Leslie, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes and Quandt voted no. <br /> <br />Stelk made motion and Leslie seconded to continue the Board of <br />Corrections meeting. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />
