<br />200004~1 <br /> <br />2b CONSIDER & AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN CHILD SUPPORT AGREEMENT: <br />County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz presented the amendment to the cooperative <br />agreement for child support enforcement. This agreement was dated from October 1, <br />1998 through September 30, 2000. This amendment will extend the agreement until <br />September 30,2001. Lancaster made a motion and Jeffries seconded to authorize the <br />chair to sign the agreement. Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis and Logan <br />all voted yes and none voted no with Arnold absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2 a UPDATE ON HEAD START REVEW AND ACTION REGARDING GRANT: County <br />Attorney Jerry Janulewicz stated that Health and Human Services will be doing a three- <br />year comprehensive review and a follow up review and they have requested to do both <br />review at the same time. He is requesting the county board to act on whether to do <br />both studies at the same time or to do them separately. Logan stated the Head Start <br />has hired an attorney to help prepare for the review. Lancaster stated that it is not <br />customary that both reviews are done at the same time. Normally they do a review then <br />the agency is given a year to correct the deficiencies. Hall County received a call and it <br />was requested to do the reviews at the same time. Scott Arnold and Pam Lancaster <br />serve on the Head Start Committee and they recommended to follow standard <br />procedure to do one review at a time and be able to correct the deficiencies then do the <br />second review. Jeffries made a motion and Lancaster seconded to do the reviews <br />separately. Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis and Logan all voted yes and <br />none voted no with Arnold absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Chairman Hartman called for public participation and Errol <br />Wells, who is running for the 4151 Legislative District, requested to introduce himself to <br />the county board. He is a cattle feeder from Elba, Nebraska. <br /> <br />4 APPROVE PROCLAMATION FOR NATIONAL HOSPICE MONTH AND NATIONAL <br />HOME CARE MONTH: County Clerk Marla Conley read the proclamations. Jeffries <br />made a motion and Logan seconded to approve the proclamations and Logan thanked <br />the people present for their service. Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis and <br />Logan all voted yes and none voted no with Arnold absent. Motion carried. <br />
