<br />20000496 <br /> <br />Jeffries made a motion and Humiston seconded to accept the bid from Wilson Concrete <br />for the concrete for the bridge projects in the amount of $70,800.00 for Bridge 30W2 and <br />$46,600.00 for Bridge 30W3 and to accept the bid from Husker Steel for the steel on the <br />bridge projects in the amount of $850.00 for Bridge 30W2 for Group 1a and $500.00 for <br />Bridge 30W3 for 1 a. Also to accept the bid from Husker Steel for Group 22 in the <br />amount of $67,243.50 for Bridge 30W2 and $56,789.50 for Bridge 30W3 and authorize <br />the chair to sigh the contracts. Hartman, Humiston, Lancaster, Landis and Logan all <br />voted yes and none voted no with Arnold absent for the vote and Jeffries abstained. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />11 REGIONAL PLANNING - CHAD NABITY CONSIDER REAPPOINTMENT OF MARK <br />HASKING TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION BOARD Regional Planning Director <br />Chad Nabity requested the board to approve the appointment of Mark Haskins for <br />another term. Logan made a motion and Jeffries seconded to approve the <br />reappointment of Mark Haskins. Hartman, Humiston, Lancaster, Landis and Logan all <br />voted yes and none voted no with Arnold absent for the vote and Jeffries abstained. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />11 a. Mr. Nabity stated that they would need a replacement for Jerry Dibbern to the <br />planning board because he does not want to be appointed again. Mr. Nabity will bring <br />back applicants for the board consideration. <br /> <br />COMMENCE AUDTI OF MONTHLY CLAIMS AND ACTION ON CLAIM AUDIT: The <br />board reviewed the monthly claims as submitted. <br /> <br />Logan made a motion and Jeffries seconded approve all claims but to pull claim <br />#00100002 and claim #00100182 and hold for clarification until the November 14 <br />meeting. Hartman, Humiston, Lancaster, Landis and Logan all voted yes and none voted <br />no with Arnold absent for the vote and Jeffries abstained. Motion carried. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBERS REPORTS: Logan- He attended the Head Start luncheon at Senior <br />High and the open house for Mid-Plains Center in their remodeled building. The long <br />range-planning meeting was cancelled and there will be a safety committee meeting. <br /> <br />Jeffries - He attended the luncheon for Head Start and also stated that the long range <br />planning meeting was cancelled. He also attended the extension board meeting and <br />there will be another November 5. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She attended the Head Start meeting. She also toured Stuhr Museum. She <br />attended a CVB meeting and reported that now the present travel and tourism <br />regulations are set in state statute there have been suggestions to change these <br />statutes. The changes would make travel and tourism a program under economic <br />development instead of a division. This would mean that the dollars collected could be <br />moved around by economic development where not the dollars must be used for travel <br />and tourism. She is also attending the citizens police academy. <br /> <br />Humiston - He attended the computer committee meeting and the ADA meeting. The <br />minutes of the ADA committee reflect the bids for the remodeling of the bathroom at Mid- <br />Plains Staff Secure and it was approved to proceed with the project.
