<br />20000453 <br /> <br />COUNTY A TIORNEY - County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz presented to the board the <br />interlocal agreement for the juvenile intake probation officer. This agreement is with <br />the City of Grand Island, Hall County and the State of Nebraska Department of <br />Probation. Jeffries made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the agreement and <br />authorize the chair to sign. Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis and <br />Logan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS NEGOTIATION STRATEGY REGARDING <br />NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE UFCW AND WITH THE HALL COUNTY PUBLIC <br />DEFENDERS ORGANIZATION: Landis made a motion and Humiston seconded to go <br />into executive session Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis and <br />Logan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />9:15 a.m. executive session <br /> <br />9:40 a.m. Logan made a motion and Humiston seconded to go out of executive <br />session. Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, and Logan all voted <br />yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2d CONSIDER AND TAKE ACTION ON PROPOSED LABOR AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE HALL COUNTY PUBLIC DEFENDERS ORGANIZATION: Jeffries made a motion <br />and Arnold seconded to approve the labor agreement with the Hall County Public <br />Defenders organization and authorize the chair to sign. Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, <br />Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis and Logan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2e CONSIDER AND TAKE ACTION ON THE PROPOSED LABOR AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE UFCW CORRECTIONS DEPARTMENT: Jeffries made a motion and <br />Logan seconded to approve the labor agreement with the UFCW corrections <br />department and authorize the chair to sign. Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, <br />Lancaster, Landis and Logan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2f CONSIDER AND TAKE ACTION ON THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />CITY OF GRAND ISLAND FOR INTERNET ACCESS FOR THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT: This interlocal agreement will allow the Grand Island Police <br />Department to access the county server for the Internet and E-Mail service. Logan <br />questioned why the City wants to use the county access. Mr. Arnold responded that <br />the interlocal agreement that would connect all of the law enforcement agencies is <br />complicated and difficult to put in place and this agreement would allow access to the <br />Internet for the city offices in the interim. The county would not receive any <br />compensation for this. Discussion was held on setting a definite time limit on this <br />agreement. Logan made a motion and Lancaster seconded to add a 90 day time limit <br />to the interlocal agreement with the city of Grand Island for Internet access for the <br />police department. Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis and Logan <br />all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br />
