<br />20000445 <br /> <br />2d APPROVE CLAIM FOR KENO TAXES IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,034.76: County <br />Attorney Jerry Janulewicz submitted the claim for the keno taxes. Landis made a motion <br />and Lancaster seconded to approve the claim for the keno taxes. Arnold, Hartman, <br />Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis and Logan all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. APPROVE THE APPOINTMENT OF CO. SURVEYOR: The Hall County Board of <br />Supervisors held interviews for the position of County Surveyor on September 10, 2000 <br />at 5:00 p.m. The County Board appointed Mr. Ronald Rockwell as the County Surveyor. <br />Mr. Rock ell accepted the appointment. Mr. Rockwell now serves on the Hall County <br />Board of Adjustment, and he expressed concern if there would be a conflict of interest <br />with the board of adjustment position and county surveyor position. County Attorney <br />Jerry Janulewicz will check the state statutes on this matter. <br /> <br />2e EXECUTIVE SESSION - DISCUSS NEGOTIATION STRATEGY UFCW LABOR <br />AGREEMENT: Landis made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go into executive <br />session for union negotiations. Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis <br />and Logan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />9:25 a.m. executive session <br /> <br />9:50 a.m. Jeffries made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go out of executive <br />session. Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis and Logan <br />all voted yes and none voted no.. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5c 10:00 A.M. BID OPENING FOR 3 TEN-CUBIC YARD TRUCK BOXES: Landis made <br />a motion and Lancaster seconded to open the bids for the truck boxes. Arnold, Hartman, <br />Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis and Logan <br />all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />The following bids were received and opened: <br /> <br />Matt Friend Truck and Equipment, for a Cristeel 9945 total bid $29,835.00 <br /> <br />LCL Truck and Equipment for a Galion truck box total bid $29,829.00 <br /> <br />Jeffries made a motion and Landis seconded to refer the bids to the Public Works <br />Director and Public Works Committee. Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, <br />Landis and Logan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Chairman Hartman called for a break for the committee to meet. <br /> <br />Returned to session Jeffries made a motion and Lancaster seconded to accept the low <br />bid from LCL Truck and Equipment and to purchase two truck boxes instead of three. <br />Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis and Logan all voted yes and <br />none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Hartman called for public participation and no <br />one responded. <br />
