Accept and place on file communications as received <br /> <br />Heard discussion and update on the Wood River Warm Slough Project from Deputy County <br />Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and Milton Moravek with Central Platte Natural Resources District. <br /> <br />10:30 a.m. Held the bid opening for pickups for the Hall County Road Department and Hall <br />County Parks Department. Bids from Hamilton Chevrolet, Anderson Ford, Parella Motors and <br />Nebraska GMC Truck were received and referred to the public works and parks department <br />directors. Approved the purchase of a pickup up for the Parks Department from Anderson Ford <br />for a total of $19,660.00 and the purchase of a pickup for the Road Department from Nebraska <br />GMC Truck for a total of $18,395.00. <br /> <br />Approved Resolution #00-0023 for the 1 & 6 Year Road Plan. <br /> <br />Accepted the committee recommendation to accept the low bid and approved to purchase an E-Z <br />Liner striping machine with options in the amount of $159,878.00. Adams, Buffalo and Hall <br />County will purchase this together and each county's share will be $53,292.67. <br /> <br />Accepted and placed on file a petition to close a portion of 60th Road and referred this to the <br />Public Works Director. <br /> <br />10:45 a.m. held the public hearing for a renewal of a conditional use permit for NTV Fant <br />Broadcasting for a communications tower. The conditional use committee recommended <br />approving this permit for 20 years. Jeff Matousek with Pappas Communications stated that they <br />are the corrent owners and there has been a name change since the last permit was issued. The <br />hearing was closed and this matter was tabled and the public hearing will be held again on <br />March 28 to address the change in ownership. <br /> <br />11 :00 a.m. held the public hearing for the conditional use permit for Emil Schaaf for a sand and <br />gravel pumping operation. Regional Planning Director Chad Nabity stated that this is a renewal <br />of a previous permit. The hearing was closed and Resolution #00-0024 was approved granting <br />the conditional used permit for the gravel pumping operation for Emil Schaaf. <br /> <br />Received the bid specifications and the request to set the bid opening date for janitorial service to <br />county building for April 11. Discussion was held and this matter was tabled for two weeks until <br />the specifications can be reviewed. <br /> <br />Approved the renewal of the vending service contracts for two years with Cocoa Cola Bottling, <br />Pepsi Bottling and VSS Vending & Dining Service. <br /> <br />Approved the 2000-2001 Handi bus budget in the amount of $38,456.50 for the local match and <br />the purchase of a new hand i-bus in the amount of $13,099.50 in matching funds. <br /> <br />11 :15 a.m. held the public hearing for the renewal of the conditional use permit for Werner <br />Construction for a sand and gravel pumping operation. The conditional use committee <br />recommended approval and to combine the two permits into one permit. The public hearing was <br />closed and the board approved the conditional use permit for Werner Construction. <br />
