<br />V01682 <br /> <br />seconded the motion to not invite Hall County's consultant RDG to participate in the <br />work-study session. Logan stated he is still unclear why the group from Texas is coming <br />now and why we do not use the consultant that we hired to do the study. Humiston <br />stated that the board just needs the information. Eriksen stated that the whole board <br />needs to look at all of the options. Logan stated that the county should wait until they <br />have all the information from the consultants. We could instruct the consultants to <br />provide the information on the lease purchase options also. The vote on the motion was <br />taken. Eriksen, Humiston, Jeffries and Lancaster voted yes and Hartman and Logan <br />voted no with Arnold absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />10:35 a.m. Board of Equalization meeting <br /> <br />15 COMMENCE AUDIT OF MONTHLY CLAIMS AND ACTION ON CLAIM AUDIT. The <br />board members reviewed the claims and Logan made a motion and Humiston seconded <br />to approve the claims as audited and authorize the clerk to pay. Eriksen, Hartman, <br />Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Logan all voted yes and none voted no, with Arnold <br />absent. Motion carried <br /> <br />BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT - Board assistant Stacey Ruzicka reminded that board <br />members that Gene Buddy will conduct a tour of the bomb lines at CAAP on December <br />6. There will be an ADA meeting tomorrow at noon and the December county board <br />meetings will be December 11 th and 18th. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS - Logan attended county government day and stated <br />he is trying to schedule a long-range planning committee meeting. He stated that the <br />county received a letter from the city concerning using the Luzenac property to dump <br />snow and the county will need to respond. This will be on the December 11 th agenda. <br /> <br />Jeffries - He attended county government day, and the building and grounds committee <br />met concerning courthouse security. He also attended the jail tour. <br /> <br />Humiston - He attended the computer committee meeting and county government day. <br /> <br />Eriksen - He also attended county government day. He stated that Dawson and Buffalo <br />County are addressing the issue on the critical habitat on the Platte River. Hall County <br />passed a resolution on this issue several months ago. He stated that he would have <br />more information on the used oil project for Hall County. He stated that Cindy Johnson <br />would like to give a presentation on the human services needs assessment. <br /> <br />Hartman - He attended county government day and also met with Senator Ben Nelson at <br />9:00 a.m. that day. He also attended the CNCS meeting in Loup City. <br /> <br />Board assistant Stacey Ruzicka stated that she will provide the board members with <br />information on the elected officials salaries if they need more information. She reminded <br />the board members that they would need to address the county surveyor's salary. <br />She also questioned if the board wanted to hear the presentation on the human needs <br />assessment and Hartman stated they could schedule a 10-minute presentation. <br /> <br />NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS - Chairman Hartman called for new or unfinished <br />business and discussion was held on the fact that some county offices were not <br />represented at county government day.
