<br />P01167 <br /> <br />10:00 a.m. PUBLIC HEARING MID NEBRASKA SPEEDWAY RENEWAL OF <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT. Jeffries made a motion and Humiston second to open <br />the public hearing for Mid Nebraska Speedway for the renewal of the conditional use <br />permit. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Logan all voted yes <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Chairman Hartman called for public response. Doug Stange, the owner of Mid Nebraska <br />Speedway, stated that this is a request for a renewal of the permit. They hold <br />stock car races, tractor pulling, motorcycle races, rodeo, and go cart and monster truck <br />events at the tract. They have requested to renew the permit for ten years instead of <br />five years. Max Boerson stated that the committee met and recommended to approve <br />renewing the permit for ten years. <br /> <br />Jeffries made a motion and Arnold seconded to close the public hearing. Arnold, <br />Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Logan all voted yes and none voted <br />no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Jeffries made a motion and Humiston seconded to approve the conditional use permit <br />for Mid Nebraska Speedway for the years. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, <br />Lancaster and Logan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />19 COMMENCE THE AUDIT OF THE MONTHLY CLAIMS AND ACTION ON CLAIM <br />AUDIT: The board members reviewed the claims. Logan made a motion and Eriksen <br />seconded to approve the claims the claims as audited. . Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, <br />Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Logan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT: Stacey Ruzicka reminded the board member about <br />the board of equalization seminar May 3rd and 4th and to register if they want to attend. <br />She also provided them with information on LB 142 concerning municipal counties. <br />Saunders County prepared a resolution regarding this, if the board would be interested. <br /> <br />Logan - He attended the NACO Central District Meeting and the long-range planning <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Jeffries - He attended the conditional use committee meeting and two public works <br />committee meetings. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She attended the NACO Central District meeting, the Workforce <br />Development meeting, the Midland Area Agency on Aging meeting, the personal <br />meeting to concerning the evaluations, HeadStart and she reported that the computer <br />committee is finalizing the software and hardware purchases for 2001. <br /> <br />Arnold - He attended the HeadStart meeting and the Midland Area Agency on Aging <br />meeting and also the computer meeting. <br /> <br />Humiston - He attended the computer meeting the Economic Development Meeting and <br />an insurance committee meeting. <br /> <br />Eriksen - He attended the groundwater festival, the NACO Central District meeting and <br />heard the governor speak on the new farm bill. <br />
