<br />~O:t:137 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, promotion and education concerning our groundwater and <br />the environment is provided through the Children's Groundwater Festival held in Grand <br />Island on an annual basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, attendance and participation at the Children's Groundwater <br />Festival by fourth and fifth grade students from across Nebraska have taught these <br />children about groundwater and related resources in a fun and interactive atmosphere; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is recommended that the City of Grand Island be <br />designated "The Groundwater Capital of the World." <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Hall County Board of <br />Supervisors hereby support the designation of the City of Grand Island as the "The <br />Groundwater Capital of the World." <br /> <br />Resolution moved by Supervisor La "" ~ .~ ~ L () 0.. Jeffries stated the door would be closed and it would be accessed by a door in <br />the hallway, He wanted to make the board aware of the changes, Jeffries made a <br />motion and Logan seconded to approve converting the lounge into storage space. <br />Logan also questioned if the diaper changing stations were ordered for the restrooms <br />and Kaufman stated that they have been ordered. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, <br />Jeffries, Lancaster and Logan all voted yes and none voted no, Motion carried, <br /> <br />
