<br />V-OI015 <br /> <br />approved holding county race day and set it for Saturday May 5th. The information will be <br />sent to the employees. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD ASSISTANT REPORT: Board assistant Stacey Ruzicka reminded the <br />public works committee that there will be a meeting after the board room. She stated <br />that the Hall County Extension office would have a poverty simulation at the office. She <br />stated that the assessor training school will be held in Kearney at the end of the month <br />and the supervisors are invited to attend the basic assessor training. She also asked if <br />the board wanted to renew the conservation membership and they approved it. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS: Logan - He reported that the letter regarding the <br />inmate medical expenses will be mailed and he also reported that the long- range <br />planning committee is working on the information they have received and they will report <br />to the as soon as the information is completed. <br /> <br />Jeffries - no report <br /> <br />Lancaster - no report <br /> <br />Arnold - no report <br /> <br />Humiston - no report <br /> <br />Eriksen - He stated he was glad to be aboard. <br /> <br />Hartman - He attended the weed board meeting and the new weed board member <br />Francis Hannon was present. The weed department is hoping to reach $100,000.00 in <br />revenue this fiscal year. <br /> <br />10:20 a.m. Held a break for the public works committee to meet to review the bids <br />received for the asphalt project for rural road development district #00-001 <br /> <br />10:30 a.m. returned to regular session <br /> <br />Jeffries made a motion and Logan seconded to accept the bid from Gary Smith <br />Construction in the amount of $48,397.50 for the paving of Road Improvement District <br />#2000-01. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Logan all voted <br />yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />10:30 a.m. BID OPENING FOR PICKUP FOR BUILDING AND GROUNDS <br />DEPARTMENT: Logan made a motion and Jeffries seconded to open the bids for the <br />pickup. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Logan all voted yes <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />The following bids were received: <br />BIDDER 2000 PICKUP 2001 PICKUP TRADE-IN TOTAL BID <br />ANDERSON FORD NO BID $18,930.00 $500.00 $18,430.00 + <br />OPTIONS <br />HAMILTON CHEV NO BID $23,376.00 $250.00 $19,973.00 + <br />OPTIONS <br />
