<br />/' <br />~ 20020019 <br /> <br />1 a County Clerk Marla Conley called for nominations for the 2002 County Board Chair. <br />Scott Arnold nominated Pamela Lancaster. <br /> <br />County Clerk Marla Conley called for any other nominations. Richard Hartman <br />nominated Lonnie Logan. <br /> <br />County Clerk Marla Conley called for any other nominations. <br /> <br />County Clerk Marla Conley called for any other nominations. No other nominations, <br />nominations ceased. <br /> <br />b. The supervisors cast paper ballots for the vote. The ballots were collected and <br />counted by Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka and County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz. <br />Pamela Lancaster received five votes and Lonnie Logan received two votes. Pamela <br />Lancaster is the 2002 Hall County Board of Supervisors Chairperson. <br /> <br />c. Richard Hartman presented the gavel to Pamela Lancaster and congratulated her. <br />Lancaster thanked Mr. Hartman. <br /> <br />d. Jim Eriksen nominated Scott Arnold. <br /> <br />County Clerk Marla Conley called for any other nominations. Richard Hartman <br />nominated Bob Humiston. <br /> <br />County Clerk Marla Conley called for any other nominations. <br /> <br />County Clerk Marla Conley called for any other nominations. Chairman Pamela Lancaster presented Richard Hartman with a plaque recognizing his <br />service as Hall County Board Chairman for 2001 and she thanked him for his work. <br /> <br />Lancaster stated that the board members would not change chairs until the next <br />meeting. Lancaster asked County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz if the board could do the <br />jail tour first and come back for the Board of Corrections meeting. Janulewicz stated that <br />the Board of Corrections meeting was advertised for 11 :00 a.m. so the board could do <br />the jail tour and then recess but they would have to come back at 11 :00 a.m. for the <br />board of corrections meeting because it was advertised that way. <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Lancaster called for public participation. Louise <br />Miller, 1104 West Charles requested to speak. She asked the board to rescind the <br />motion to sell the land at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant to Nebraska Public <br />Power District. She provided the board members with information on alternate energy. <br />Hall County is loosing valuable farmland. She also questioned the use of interpreters. <br />
