<br />~(D3582 <br /> <br />County Surveyor Dan Hostler reported that Gary Smith Construction has finished the <br />armor coating at Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant. <br /> <br />17 UPDATE ON WEST NILE-Hartman questioned what had been done on this issue. <br />Jeffries stated that he contacted Dan Hostler and Rob Schultz and instructed them to <br />contact the health department if there were any areas in the county that needed to be <br />sprayed. <br /> <br />Eriksen stated that he talked to the person at the health department that is in charge of <br />the spraying and they are spraying Grand Island and are open to any other requests that <br />come in. Some of the smaller communities already do their own spraying. He stated <br />that the health department met last night and they instructed the staff to do an intense <br />inventory of what is going on the three county area. They will take a good look at it and <br />start addressing this issue for next year. The board members expressed concern on the <br />number of cases and the severity of the cases in this area. Jeffries stated that this is a <br />responsibility of the City and the County and they may need to plan for next year. <br /> <br />Eriksen stated that the health department is taking the lead and they will work on a <br />proposed plan to address this problem for next year. If it involves money this can also <br />be addressed. The health department is also including Merrick and Hamilton counties. <br /> <br />BOARD ASSISTANTS REPORT-Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka stated she did not <br />have anything to report. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS-Hartman-no report <br /> <br />Humiston-no report <br /> <br />Eriksen-He stated he attended a health board meeting last night. <br /> <br />Rye-no report <br /> <br />Jeffries-He stated that he attended the meeting concerning the consolidation of county <br />and city services. <br /> <br />Arnold-He reported that he attended the computer committee meeting along with the <br />other board members that attended. <br /> <br />Lancaster-She reported that she also attended the city county consolidation meeting. <br />She completed a survey concerning the county's efforts to consolidate services. Hall <br />County has a joint building and grounds and park department and the veteran's service <br />office has included other counties in their services. She stated that the report is in <br />Stacey's office if anyone is interested. <br /> <br />NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS-Chairman Lancaster called for new or unfinished <br />business and no one responded. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION - PERSONAL EVALUATION AND PERSONAL- Rye made a <br />motion and Jeffries seconded to go into executive session. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, <br />Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />7 <br />
