<br />~ 03/193 <br /> <br />6 DISCUSS AND APPROVE REAPPOINTMENT TO THE HALL COUNTY HOUSING <br />AUTHORITY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS - Lancaster stated that Bernie Terman's <br />term on the Hall County Housing Authority Board of Commissioners expired June <br />30,2003. Mr. Terman indicated that he would be willing to serve another term. The Hall <br />County Housing Authority Board recommended to reappoint Mr. Terman. Jeffries made <br />a motion and Arnold seconded to reappoint Mr. Terman to serve another term until June <br />30,2008. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />16 COMMENCE AUDIT AND APPROVE BI-WEEKL Y PAY CLAIMS AND REGUALR <br />CLAIMS - The board reviewed the claims and Eriksen made a motion and Jeffries <br />seconded to approve the claims and authorize the clerk to pay. Arnold, Eriksen, <br />Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />BOARD ASSISTANTS REPORT - Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka reminded the board <br />members of the Solid Waste Agency meeting and the budget work-study meeting and <br />keno applications on July 30. She also stated that the unveiling of project Long Bow <br />would be at the Hall County Airport. She requested that the performance evaluation be <br />back to her by August 6th. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBERS REPORTS - Lancaster stated that she would like to address the <br />article in the newspaper concerning the County Board of Supervisors meetings. In the <br />month of July the Board had a total of seven meetings and in August there will be eight <br />meeting. Not only do the have the regular board meetings but each of the board <br />members also serves on 13 to 15 different committees. Some of the boards that they <br />serve on are out of town and there is travel time TO THE MEETINGS. <br /> <br />Hartman - He attended the Mid Plains and Mid Nebraska Individual Services meeting. <br />They are both doing well and are in the black. <br /> <br />Humiston - No report <br /> <br />Eriksen - He attended the Region III meeting and everything is OK. <br /> <br />Rye - He attended the long-range planning meeting and they met with HHS concerning <br />space. This is an on going process. <br /> <br />Jeffries - He attended several criminal justice meetings and they discussed the humane <br />society contract. The also discussed the interim plan for the victim witness program and <br />County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz will moving forward with a plan. State Statue requires <br />that the county have this program. <br /> <br />He also attended a park committee meeting and building and grounds purchased a new <br />lawn mower. The park committee met and they are discussed the construction at the <br />park. <br /> <br />Arnold - He reported that the crime commission took action to remove the grant to the <br />Family Violence Coalition and there is another crime commission meeting for August 15 <br />and that is a budget work-study session so he may have to attend the crime commission <br />meeting. <br /> <br />4 <br />
