Mr. Humiston told the board that the GIS Committee
felt the need to obtain additional help. Mr. Busskohl informed the board that this
employment is needed for help in operating the GPS equipment. The department has
the money in their budget, but they feel that if is more cost efficient to hire a temporary
personal then contract outside for help. Mr. Arnold made the motion and Jeffries
seconded to approve the GIS Department to hire additional help for this summer until the
project is completed. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye
all voted yes and none voted no Motion carried.

#15 Chad Nabity from Regional Planning Commission informed the board of LB754.
"The Ag Friendly Livestock Bill" for conditional use permits. Mr. Nabity asks that the
board as a unit send a letter of support to our local unicameral representatives asking
them to send the bill back to committee. Mr. Nabity noted that under this bill there would
be limited or no public hearings on conditional use permits if a person was issued their
permit. This is something that he feels should be on a need basis with public hearing
still be available if need be. Jeffries made the motion and Eriksen seconded the motion
to send a letter to our unicameral representative asking them to send the bill back to
committee for further review. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster
and Rye all voted yes and none voted no Motion carried.

Jeffries made the motion and Hartman seconded it to enter into the Board of
Equalization. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted
yes and none voted no Motion carried.

11 :05 a.m. Held the board of equalization meeting.

11 :08 regular session

11: 10 Eriksen made a motion and Humiston seconded to enter into the Board of
Corrections. Arnold,
Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none voted
no Motion carried.

Per phone call notification from the Count Attorney the board needs to amend the motion
for the taxes to the 2nd half of 2002 on the purchase of 233 and 235 S. Locust. Arnold

14
