Arnold made a motion and Jeffries seconded to set the public hearing for April 22, 2003 at 9:45 a.m. for the application for the federal funds for the handi bus. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. 5e PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION FOR HISTORICAL MARKER NORTH OF WOOD RIVER - The public works committee met concerning the request from Rosalie Lippincott for the historical marker and Dan Hostler tried to contact Mrs. Lippincott and was not able to talk to her. They need to know if she had contacted the historical society concerning the monument. The committee met and approved the drawing and the cost will be from the keno fund. They need information from her in order to proceed. 10 EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING REAL ESTATE PURCHASE - Jeffries made a motion and Humiston seconded to go into executive session regard real estate purchase. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. 11 :58 a.m. executive session 12:20 a.m. Rye made a motion to go out of executive session and Jeffries seconded. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. 15 UPDATE REGARDING HALL COUNTY JAIL PROJECT - Chairman Lancaster stated that she wanted to let the public and the county board know that they have not dropped the ball concerning the jail project. Kutek Rock is still watching LB 656 and what the progress is on that. They are waiting to complete the RFP until the county knows what options they will have. 16 COMMENCE AUDIT OF BI WEEKLY PAY CLAIMS AND ACTION ON CLAIM AUDIT AND APPROVE EARLY CLAIM FOR IMSERVICES - County Clerk Marla Conley stated that the State of Nebraska changed their accounting system and this claim was approve to be paid on March 25 but because the name was changed it is necessary to change the vendor and issue a new check. Jeffries made a motion and Hartman seconded to approve the salary claims and the claim from IMServices. . Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. BOARD ASSISTANT - Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka reminded the board members about the personnel committee meeting after the board meeting and there will be a computer meeting at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow. She also asked if any of the board members were going to attend the board of equalization seminar in Kearney. She will need to know by April 22. BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS - Hartman - no report Humiston - He attended the interlocal computer meeting and the computer meeting. 7
