Paul noted that you want to use the commission study <br /> to make the comparisons. The smaller counties may only have a department head and <br /> no staff. <br /> Ron ask how he would bill the cost per hour or a flat fee. Paul said the county would <br /> not want to pay an hourly fee. He will prepare a proposal with the cost. The Sarpy <br /> County survey was between $50,000 and $60,000. Discussion was held and Paul will <br /> prepare a proposal and send it and it can be approved at the next meeting. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Sorensen seconded to move forward with a proposal <br /> Peterson said he will work with Mr. Essman and bring back the proposal in 2 weeks. <br /> Sorensen ask how many counties that Sarpy County used, and Paul said they used <br /> Lancaster County in state and a total of nine. Chair Peterson stated there are 2 reasons for a closed session to protect <br /> the public interest or to prevent needless harm or injury to an individual. Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted <br /> no. Bredthauer was absent. Motion carried. <br /> Held closed session from 10:43 a.m. to 10:51 a.m. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Sorensen seconded to go out of closed session. Chair <br /> Peterson said there were no other subjects discussed, no votes were taken and no <br /> action was taken.
