PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Chair Peterson called for public participation and County <br /> Attorney Marty Klein introduce his new attorney Blake Aspen, he is a recent law school <br /> graduate and found out last week he passed the bar. He has been working as a <br /> paralegal and will be sworn in in October. He will be helping with some of the civil <br /> cases. He is originally from Hastings. <br /> Quandt noted this week will be the anniversary of the 9/11 tradgey.. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS — Don Robb was present. There were no agenda items just an <br /> update. He reported that they finished clay capping on the county line and will start <br /> working on 190th by Smart Soil. There is a lot of heavy traffic and they will give them a <br /> detour when they start working. They did all the mowing for Husker Harvest days and <br /> worked with the State Patrol on traffic control. Rosedale Road is finished and It is a <br /> nice smooth road. There is one bridge on Rosedale that is too narrow and they will <br /> have to shut the road down for one day to do the work. He also noted that when they <br /> did some of the crack sealing it was so hot it melted and they will have to replace it. <br /> He reported that he is working with Bowman regarding the replacement of 3 box <br /> culverts. He would like to get them ready to go out for bids for winter work. He is also <br /> getting quotes for the motor grader. <br /> FACILITIES Loren Humphrey presented the proposal for the fence replacement at the <br /> Hall County Park from American Fence Company, for$ 26,534.00, this proposal include <br /> a new gate. <br /> Richrdson made a motion and Sorensen seconded to accept the proposal from <br /> American Fence for the Hall County Park. Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Bredthauer was absent. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 10B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE QUOTE FOR CARPET <br /> REPLACEMENT AT ROAD DEPARTMENT— this is for the replacement carpet and <br /> some plank flooring for the Road Department from Peter Wood Homes & Floors for <br /> $6,445.43 and the installation from Steffen Flooring for $10,396.00 <br /> Richardson made a motion and Sorensen second to accept the quote for the carpet and <br /> flooring proposal from Peter Wood Homes & Floors and for the installation from Steffen <br /> Flooring for the Road Department. Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Bredthauer was absent. Motion carried. <br /> C) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE QUOTE FOR CARPET <br /> REPLACEMENT AT HALL COUNTY ATTORNEY BUILDING — Loren said this is for the <br /> carpet for the entire county attorney building. The carpet is from Peter Wood Home & <br /> Flooring for $28,891.43 and all the installation if by Steffen Flooring. He will do the <br /> 5 <br />
