9:04 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization meeting <br /> 9:06 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to the regular <br /> meeting. <br /> FACILITIES 10E E) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING PROBATION <br /> OFFICE DRUG TESTING — Loren Humphrey and Marc Kohmetscher were present. <br /> Marc has worked on a plan for the drug testing. <br /> Ron received an Email regarding a plan for the drug testing. Marc said they met several <br /> times and addressed concerns regarding traffic, staffing security and officer response <br /> time if a drug test is positive, and how to keep it localized in the Federal Building. The <br /> state is proposing a new statewide drug testing system that will start this fall. It will be a <br /> digital check in system each person will have a unique ID number and facial recognition. <br /> The test will done quickly so they will be able to move people In and out quickly. They <br /> will still do the random drug testing and they will be able to customize that process. He <br /> noted that the area at the federal building can accommodate 20 people at their current <br /> location they can accommodate about 10 people, so they are proposing to increase the <br /> drug testing staff to 5 3 female and 2 male. He also noted that the bathrooms at the <br /> Federal Building are larger. They would provide information for the people coming in <br /> regarding the parking and address the issues as they come. There are a few spots for <br /> parking on the east side they could open. <br /> Lancaster said this was a lot of work and appreciated that. She suggested getting <br /> information out and draw attention to the parking issues. <br /> Mark said when they are authorized to move the information will be posted they will also <br /> plan ahead and put the information in the probation packet regarding the location and <br /> times for the drug testing. <br /> Peterson suggested scheduling the move once the courthouse addition is completed <br /> that will give time to get the work done, Loren will be doing the work in house. They can <br /> work on a timeline. <br /> 10D) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING QUOTE FROM CMB <br /> ARCHITECTS FOR PROBATION OFFICE AT THE FEDERAL BUILDING — Loren said <br /> they have a rough draft of the proposal from CMB Architects for the probation office. <br /> They ae still working on it and if it is approved, they can move forward. They have met <br /> with CMB but there have not been a lot of changes. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Sorensen seconded to move forward with the plan to <br /> move the probation and office and work with CMB. Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Bredthauer was absent. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 3 <br />
