9. 23 Communications none on file <br /> 10.25 Placed on file the minutes from the budget meetings for July 21, 23 and 27, <br /> 2026 <br /> Quandt requested to pull the biweekly pay claims. Chair Peterson ask why he pulls the <br /> claims because the County board doesn't have the authority to deny this claim. Quandt <br /> ask why a commissioner can't vote against a claim. <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the biweekly salary <br /> claims excluding the claim for Don Shuda. <br /> Lancaster noted that that may be the answer to either to vote to approve the claims or <br /> you do not. <br /> The vote on the motion to approve the biweekly pay claims excluding the claim for Don <br /> Shuda was taken. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Discussion was held, Quandt can vote against the claim but the question is do we have <br /> the authority to deny the claim. Quandt questioned if they are changing the rules. <br /> Jane suggested finding an easier way it takes extra time. <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the biweekly pay claim <br /> for Don Shuda. Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes <br /> and Bredthauer and Quandt voted no.
