HALL COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONER MEETING AUGUST 25, 2026 <br /> The Hall County Board of Commissioners convened August 25, 2026, by published call <br /> in the County Board meeting room, 200 South Sycamore, Grand Island, Nebraska. <br /> CALL TO ORDER- The meeting was called to order by Chair Ron Peterson <br /> INVOCATION - Jane Richardson gave the invocation. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE —The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> ROLL CALL— Present on roll call were Karen Bredthauer, Butch Hurst, Pam Lancaster, <br /> Gary Quandt, Ron Peterson, and Jane Richardson and Scott Sorensen County Attorney <br /> Marty Klein and Kim Dugan. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chair Peterson read the notice for a public <br /> meeting subject to the open meetings laws of the State of Nebraska. The requirements <br /> for an open meeting are posted on the door to his left and notices are on the front table <br /> for your information. <br /> AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —Chair Peterson stated the affidavit of publication was <br /> received. <br /> Chair Peterson stated that the Hall County Board of Commissioners has the discretion <br /> to change the order of the agenda items. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME — Chair Peterson called for anyone regarding a request <br /> to reserve time on a specific agenda item and no one responded. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA- Sorensen made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the <br /> following by consent agenda. <br /> 1. Placed on file the minutes from the August 11, 2026 meeting <br /> 2. 15 Approved and authorized the chair to sign the interlocal agreement for Central <br /> Nebraska Adult Drug Court <br /> 3. 20 Approved the biweekly pay claims <br /> 4. 20 Approved the regular claims <br /> 5. 20b Approved to lower the claim #26080036 from College Park by $1,157.85 and <br /> refer it to the County Attorney for clarification pending receipt of the correct <br /> supporting documentation <br /> 6. 21 Placed on file the office reports from the County Sheriff and County Building <br /> Inspector <br /> 7. 22 Placed on file the Hall County Treasurer miscellaneous receipts <br /> 8. 23 Communications none on file <br /> 9. 25 Placed on file the minutes from the budget meetings for July 21, 23 and 27, <br /> 2026 <br /> 1 <br />
