HALL COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONER MEETING AUGUST 11, 2026 <br /> The Hall County Board of Commissioners convened August 11, 2026, by published call <br /> in the County Board meeting room, 200 South Sycamore, Grand Island, Nebraska. <br /> CALL TO ORDER- The meeting was called to order by Chair Ron Peterson <br /> INVOCATION - Jane Richardson gave the invocation. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE —The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> ROLL CALL— Present on roll call were Karen Bredthauer, Butch Hurst, Pam Lancaster, <br /> Gary Quandt, Ron Peterson, and Jane Richardson. Scott Sorensen was not present. <br /> County Attorney Marty Klein. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chair Peterson read the notice for a public <br /> meeting subject to the open meetings laws of the State of Nebraska. The requirements <br /> for an open meeting are posted on the door to his left and notices are on the front table <br /> for your information. <br /> AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —Chair Peterson stated the affidavit of publication was <br /> received. <br /> Chair Peterson stated that the Hall County Board of Commissioners has the discretion <br /> to change the order of the agenda items. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME — Chair Peterson called for anyone regarding a request <br /> to reserve time on a specific agenda item and no one responded. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA- Sorensen made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the <br /> following by consent agenda. <br /> 1. Placed on file the minutes from the July 28, 2026, meeting <br /> 2. 5 Authorized the chair to sign the interlocal agreement with the City of Grand <br /> island for improvements to roads and streets in and around Grand Island <br /> 3. 6a Approved Resolution #26-021 for signing of the county annual certification of <br /> program compliance for 2026 <br /> 4. 6b Authorized the chair to sign annual certification of program compliance to <br /> Nebraska Board of Public Roads Classifications and Standards for 2026 <br /> 5. 8 Approved the payment to SCEDD for general administrative services from 3/26 <br /> to 6/30/26 invoice #2-21008 for$1 ,265.00 <br /> 6. 9 Approved reimbursement request submitted by Hornady Manufacturing <br /> 7. 10 Approved draw request #2 for CDBG funds <br /> 8. 11 Set the bid opening for South Locust Farm property for September 22, 2026, <br /> at 9:30 a.m. with bids due September 22, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. <br /> 1 <br />
