Richardson made a motion and Lancaster seconded to follow the county purchasing <br /> guidelines Resolution #24-013. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt all <br /> voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Held a Board of Corrections meeting. <br /> Adjourned the Board of Corrections meeting. The quarterly jail tour bill be held after the <br /> meeting. <br /> 10.FCILITIES UPDATE — Loren Humphrey reported that he had a call from a person <br /> from Colorado and he said he found the Hall County Park through Al. When he was <br /> coming through Nebraska he was going to stop. <br /> Loren reported that he had some information from Garland Company that uses drones <br /> to do building and roof assessments. Then they work with local companies regarding <br /> repairs. He would like to opportunity to look at this program. Peterson suggested <br /> checking some references. <br /> 11.COURTHOUSE PROJECT— Loren reported that the roof is done, the windows are <br /> in, the first and second floors are framed in. They did a walk through to see what may <br /> need to be changed or added. They are now working on framing in the third floor. The <br /> walls for the sally port have been poured. Work is moving fast and there is good <br /> communication. The basement bathroom is done, and they are installing the tile and <br /> flooring. Water is in the building for the fire suppression system. He also noted the air <br /> handling system that has been installed on the roof. Some of the units ae bigger than a <br /> truck. <br /> Sorensen said the roof looks good. <br /> 11 B CHANGE ORDER REPORT - Ron noted the updated report regarding the funds. <br /> and they have used 25% of courthouse construction funds. <br /> Loren said he talked to Daimond Engineering about the work on the ramp and they said <br /> they will be back next week. <br /> 9.DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING HALL COUNTY RURAL TRANSIT <br /> & BUDGET SHORTFALL— Sorensen said that at the public hearing we heard voices <br /> supporting the rural Hall County Transit, but we have also seen the numbers and the <br /> shortfall of the funding from the state. He said he would have a hard time <br /> recommending continuing the service based on the current budget numbers from the <br /> state. He has looked at the contract with Brown they would have to renegotiate the <br /> contract. He feels tht it is in the best interest of the county send a 90-day notice to end <br /> service with Brown and consider going out for bids to see if a non-profit would consider <br /> bidding the operations of the rural transit system.
