Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the exemption <br /> applications for Goodwill Industries for the 2020 Ford Transit van and for Abundant Life <br /> Christian Center for a 2018 Rock Solid cargo trailer. Bredthauer, Hurst, Quandt, <br /> Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted <br /> no. Lancaster was not present. Motion carried. <br /> 7.DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING DMV LEASED BUILDING - <br /> Deputy County Assessor Mandy Pfeil said she received a request regarding the status <br /> of the exemption on the DMV drivers testing building. The building is leased from <br /> H.E.L.P. The state auditor also questioned if they should be exempt. Bredthauer ask if <br /> this was a TIF project and Mandy said it is not TIF. She wanted to bring this to the <br /> board because they are requesting information by May 29. She tried to contact Marty <br /> but he is currently in court. Discussion was held to send a letter requesting information. <br /> Richarson made a motion and Quandt seconded to send a letter requesting <br /> information on the DMV building. Bredthauer, Hurst, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson <br /> and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Lancaster was not present. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 9:18 a.m. recessed Board of Equalization meeting to hold closed session later. <br /> 5.CLOSED SESSION REGARDING GREAT PLAINS WOOD RIVER TERC <br /> LITIGATION — Sorensen made a motion and Richardson seconded to go into closed <br /> session. Chair Peterson said there are 2 reasons for a closed session to protect the <br /> public interest or to prevent needless harm or injury to an individual. Bredthauer, <br /> Hurst, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted <br /> no. Lancaster was not present. Motion carried. <br /> Held executive session from10:18 a.m. to 10:24 a.m. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Richardson seconded to go out of closed session. <br /> Peterson stated there were no other subjects discussed, no votes were taken and no <br /> action was taken. <br /> There was no action to be taken from the closed session <br /> No new or unfinished business.
