HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING APRIL 21, 2026 <br /> 9:05 A.M. Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL-Present on roll call were Karen Bredthauer, Butch Hurst, Pam Lancaster, <br /> Ron Peterson, Gary Quandt, Jaane Richardson and Scott Sorensen. Also present were <br /> County Attorney Marty Klein, and Board Assistant Kim Dugan. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW- Chair Peterson read the notice of open meeting <br /> law. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME-Chair Peterson called if anyone from the audience had <br /> a request to reserve time and no one responded. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION-The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES- Sorensen made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the minutes <br /> of the April 7, 2026, meeting. Bredthauer, Hurst, Quandt, Lancaster, Peterson, <br /> Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION- Noone responded <br /> 3.COUNTYASSESSOR— DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO AUTHORIZE <br /> CHAIR TO SIGN TAX CORRECTION NOTICES #881 thru #918 — County Assessor <br /> Kristi Wold presented tax correction notices #881 to #918 requesting a motion from the <br /> board to authorize the chair to sign. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to authorize the chair to sign tax <br /> correction notices #881 to #918. Bredthauer, Hurst, Quandt, Lancaster, Peterson, <br /> Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 4. COUNTY TREASURER-DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE AN <br /> EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR AMERICAN NATIONAL RED CROSS FOR A 2023 <br /> RAM PORMASTER 3500 HIGHTOP VAN, TO BE USED TO TRANSPORT <br /> EMPLOYEES AND SUPPLIES TO BLOOD DRIVES AND AUTHORIZE BOARD CHAIR <br /> TO SIGN. -Alaina Verplank stated this was a renewal for American Red cross and <br /> stated she approved this exemption as per state statue 77-202 and asked for <br /> authorization for board chair to sign. Bredthauer, Hurst, Quandt, Lancaster, Peterson, <br /> Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 5.
