Mike Dobesh came forward talking about how terrible the county roads are and how bad
the wash boarding on several rural roads are and how dangerous they are. He stated
the road graders need to put their blades down, he said they always put them up when
they come by his shop. Milke stated they have been addressing this issue for some
time, and nothing gets done, he wants to see something get done. Scott Sorensen
agreed many roads are wash boards.
9 PRESENTATION BY RANDY ZMEK REGARDING WATER ISSUES-Randy stated he
is 40-year agronomist that helped raise all the foods you ate, including the organic, got
5,300 hours into protecting everybody's water. Randy stated he started this out and this
affects your commission that dealt with the flooding of Grand Island from the runoff that
floods people out clear to Duncan. He stated he went into testing of water which he had
the NDE test water from GI airport to Archer for the nasty unspoken contaminants west
of town, which I knew they would say nothing about or admit nothing, test came back
with bolded heavy metals on all six tests that were 100%, 300%, 700% over drinking
water standards. Then I took the extension in the geologist last April and took them from
Chapman, Worms, Palmer, Archer, Central City to Genoa and we took the drain caps off
them, rusted, stained discolored pivots and we tested them for heavy metals and
radioactivity. The reason for radioactivity was there was used aluminum irrigation pipe
being delivered to Lincoln that was being rejected because it was too radioactive, had
nothing to do with the pipe. It's all about the crud that's stuck in it, getting back to them
heavy metals, Nebraska just hit number one in Parkinson's disease as of December of
2025. Randy stated they won't touch this data and they don't want you to see it.
Peterson asked When you say they, who do you mean?
Randy stated, Lincoln in general along with NDE and this geologist and the extension
agent. Randy stated here's the simple definition, and number one, water treatment
systems too close together in pure sands right above the aquifer and mother nature
don't care whether it comes out of this one or our livestock. They all have microbes and
bacteria in it, they get there fast, most towns are struggling with this, and water
treatment is the way to go. Randy stated his goal is to get the information out there and
to the public.
6A-FACILITIES-DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING COURT HOUSE
FURNITURE-Loren Humphrey stated that some offices will want and some need to get
furniture he told them about Cornhusker industries they make custom built furniture and
good quality and could be a lot cheaper in cost. They build and will store until ready and
will come and put furniture together as well. Loren stated he is bringing to board now as
it takes time for them to build these and looking for approx. May of next year.
Peterson asked if he is talking about replacing all desks or just certain ones? Peterson
stated they should be able to use old desks and not have to get new.
