HALL COUNTY BOARD OF CORRECTION MEETING APRIL 7, 2026 <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Sorensen seconded to go into a Board of Corrections <br /> meeting with a roll call vote. <br /> Present on roll call were Karen Bredthauer, Butch Hurst, Pam Lancaster, Ron Peterson, <br /> Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Scott Sorensen. Also, present were Corrections <br /> Director Todd Bahensky and County Attorney Marty Klein and Kim Dugan Board <br /> Assistant. <br /> NOTICE OF MEETING LAW-Chair Peterson read the notice of open meeting law <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION-The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES OF THE MEETING- Sorensen made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to <br /> approve the minutes of March 10, 2026, meeting, Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, <br /> Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION-Chair Peterson called for public participation, and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 3. CORRECTIONS DIRECTORS REPORT-Todd Bahensky stated that their numbers <br /> are at 242, US Marshall are at 84, 16 Immigration holds, 2 from other counties, 15 <br /> probation sanctions. <br /> Todd handed the board a revenue report to go over. Bahensky stated the housing <br /> revenue for last quarter went up 1 million 350 thousand, one reason numbers on the <br /> feds are up quite a bit and the daily rate is up quite a bit. Bahensky stated he was <br /> looking at what is in the building reserve and $500,000 in it that we had for <br /> that boiler chiller stuff, we also have 600,000 that we put in that was also money for <br /> those big repair issues that come up that we can't really budget for. Right now, my <br /> general repair line item is 103% and my building repair is at 90% which is only about <br /> $1,200 left in that. We paid our engineer; we replaced those heat exchangers and some <br /> other repair work on that stuff that we have, that's a big a big chunk of what we spent on <br /> this year already, there's $487,500 left in that. Bahensky stated they got $987,500 <br /> roughly cash in there now. There is already part of a bill for chiller coming in but that is <br /> all part of that. The bill for the chiller will be $551,000.00. HVAC will be 1,107,000.00 <br /> and then the engineers fee on top of that is another$85,000.00, in the end what will be <br /> owed is 1,743,300.00. Bahensky stated they projected 3.3 million in revenue this fiscal <br /> year. Bahensky stated he is confident that $500,000.00 will be there, if that money is <br /> available to help with this project that will help us that'll get us through our first payment <br /> on the <br />
