10. A) PUBLIC WORKS —A PURCHASE OF ROTARY CUTTER — Don Robb stated he <br /> talked to Rich with the Road Department and they had ordered a mower but it will not <br /> be here until December the cost was $34,029.97. He would like to cancel that order. <br /> They contacted Land Pride and they have a mower on hand that will work for <br /> $24,883.12 ad they would be saving bout $7,000. Don said he would like to cancel the <br /> other order and purchase this unit and get it going. <br /> Sorensen made a motion ad Quandt seconded to approve the purchase of the Land <br /> price mower for $24,883.12 and cancel the previous order. Bredthauer, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted <br /> no. Motion carried. <br /> 10 B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING A ONE YEAR LEASE OF A <br /> BOBCAT COMPACT TRACK LOADER — Mr. Robb stated he has a quote on the lease <br /> of the Bobcat track loader for $6,500 for a one year lease There is a 74 horse and a <br /> bigger machine and he would like to get another unit but he keep the one they currently <br /> have. He also contacted CAT and their cost for a 3 year lease is over $15,000.00 per <br /> year Grand Kubota is $28,500 for one year. Case came in at $20,300 for 1 year. He <br /> also contacted Murphy Tractor and they do not do leases because they do not have the <br /> inventory. He does have money in his budget for the track loaders. Bobcat has the <br /> machine on hand. <br /> Hurst made a motion and Sorensen seconded to approve the lease for the Bobcat track <br /> loader. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all <br /> voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE — Don Robb reported that they have the new concrete <br /> poured around the fuel tanks and one poured by the wash bay. They have had some <br /> problems with the concrete and changed the mix design because there could not get <br /> concrete. They have the concrete removed and hope to pour in front of the office and on <br /> the east side they have 3 more pours left. They have to put in the stoups in front of the <br /> doors because of city code. <br /> Don reported they found a rusted out pipe on Rosedale Road they dug out the entire <br /> pipe and it was rusted out and caving in under the asphalt. They contacted Ace Eaton <br /> and were able to get a new tube. They dug it out and it is all rusted out and they cut the <br /> asphalt and they are putting in rock d get it finished a couple weeks. <br /> Closed old potash wet of Engleman and milled it out because it was rippled from the <br /> trucks and replaced the asphalt before winter. <br /> VanKirk is also having problems getting concrete they could not even get 4 yards of <br /> concrete to finish a job. They are having problems getting the fly ash and they cannot <br /> get the concrete off of the barges another problem with supply and demand. <br /> 4 <br />
