Karen said as of last <br /> Wednesday the first panel has approved the grant application for the JDAI coordinator. <br /> Marty said this was an amazing opportunity and Randy turned the application around <br /> and submitted it. This will help offset the JDAI position costs. He stated that the <br /> juvenile cases are growing and they are complex cases these cases take a lot of time. <br /> Karen note that this is the first time dollars have been awarded outside of Omaha and <br /> Lincoln. <br /> Lancaster noted that the juvenile diversion is a good program and Randy does an amazing job. <br /> This could help offset the coordinator position. <br /> Peterson noted that since he has not been able to fill the positon he should be OK on the <br /> budget side. Marty said is always willing to come to the board to answer questions. <br /> 8. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE TO AWARD BID FOR ROAD DEPARTMENT CONCRETE <br /> PARKING LOT PROJECT— Don Robb and Steve Riehle reviewed the bids and recommended <br /> to award the bid to Chief Construction in the amount of$143,701.30. There was a small <br /> adjustment so the total was a little higher. He also noted other total changes Diamond <br /> Engineering was $177,560.77 instead of$177,374.30, H & H Concrete was $163,334.44 <br /> instead of$163,334.00 <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Bredthauer second to award the bid to Chief Construction <br /> for $143,701.30. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Sorensen all <br /> voted yes and no one voted no. Richardson was absent. Motion carried. <br /> Quandt ask if the Road Department will work on the removal of the concrete and ask <br /> how long it may take. Mr. Robb said they will do the back area first and will have to <br /> address the fuel lines there but it should only take a day. But the concrete will have to <br /> cure before they can use it. <br /> Sorensen noted they will have to talk to the Sheriff on fuel alternative because they will <br /> have to wait until the concrete cures. <br /> 10:40 A.M. Sorensen made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Corrections meeting. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Sorensen all <br /> voted yes and no one voted no.
